I ordered the fried chicken shoyu ramen and my friend got the tantanmen ramen with ground pork. They were out of chashu which was a little disappointing, but the fried chicken was very crispy and flavorful and I was happy with it. The shoyu broth was a little bland, it needed some soy sauce but that is my only real complaint about the food. Truly, it was delicious.
The reason I'm not giving this place five stars is that we had to wait about an hour for our food to arrive. We ordered at around 7:40 and our food didn't come until about 8:30. People who came in after us got their food before us (this happened multiple times) and we were already pretty hungry when we walked in, so you can only imagine how hungry and cranky we were after an hour of waiting. It was incredibly frustrating. We were finally on the verge of just walking out and eating at the restaurant across the street, but once we asked our server, the food came out in less than five minutes. I'm pretty sure he just forgot our order...
All in all, the ramen was great and reasonably priced, but the service left a lot to be desired. read more
