In a day and age, where you can't swing a dead cat without hitting yet another "fitness center" or "health club" The Eagle location of Anytime Fitness has managed to do something quite rare, and that is; stand out. But more than that, what is most impressive is the magnitude to which they rise- head and shoulders- above all the other corporate and generic cookie cutter gyms.
This place has a palpable feel to it. Almost familial in its atmosphere, everyone you meet, from the manager to the members all seem to be people you've known your whole life. Full 24 hour access provided by R/T key fobs and a door scanner gives members the chance to work out on their schedule. Be it after work, or 3 in the morning. Safe, clean and well equipped you would be hard pressed to find a better gym in the area.
The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and, enthusiastic. They are engaged. They go out of their way to make your visits something to look forward too. The equipment is always clean, and professionally maintained. In over a year of going to this gym, i have NEVER seen a piece of equipment idle due to a maintenance issue. It's state of the art life fitness stuff, nearly new and in very nice condition.
The Eagle location of Anytime Fitness is a fairly well balanced gym. Meaning there are equally good facilities for either the cardio / crossfit crowd or for serious meatheads. The weight pile is one of the nicest I've seen. The first thing you notice is a full dumbbell rack that goes from 5 lbs. up to 100lbs in 5 pound increments. There is a brand new Hammer Strength squat rack, and a life fitness smith machine. Additionally, there is a hammer strength leg press machine and, an Iso lateral row machine. The majority of the area dedicated to free weights is taken up by a beautiful 10 station Precor Icarian weight machine. I like this machine because of the research Precor has done in designing their equipment. Paying lavish attention to biomechanics, you are assured of a rigorous, CORRECT workout every time you use any of the ten stations. There is a full barbell rack ranging in weight from 20 lbs up to 100 lbs.
And most importantly plenty of plates to keep everyone pumping without having to wait for weight.
There is a beautiful cardio theatre, whose nicest feature is the fully automated drop down video screen on which you can choose any of a group of lessons from stretching to spin classes all courtesy of a "fitness on request" touch screen kiosk. There is a heavy weight bag and gloves to help you take out some of your aggressions if need be. Plenty of kettle balls, exercise balls, foam rollers, matts, you name it. One of the nicest equipped theaters I've seen. And, again everything is clean and well cared for. The gym provides preloaded sanitary spray bottles and rags and everyone is encouraged to keep the equipment they use clean. Which, for the most part, they do.
This location, served a former life as a "blockbuster video". It's clear that the owners spared little expense when revamping the property into being the gym it is today. Brightly painted, and boasting 2 separate private shower rooms, appointed with granite marble topped sink vanities, commodes, dressing benches and showers with fold down padded seats ( a life saver on leg day ) there are even hair dryers, available for the members.
Three state of the art private tanning beds are available, ( two Xtra performance tmax machines and one sun vision 28LE. )
The gym sells a full line of tanning accessories and creams, as well as nutritional supplements and even a good choice of pre-workout powders.
There is a spacious waiting area, with a pair of leather swivel chairs and a leather couch. Plenty of magazines, and a dedicated large flatscreen tv ( in addition to the other 3 located around the gym ) rounds out the front lobby / waiting area.
I travel extensively and work out 6 days a week, and no matter where I have gone, I say without reservation that I ALWAYS look forward to coming home to "MY" Anytime gym in Eagle.
Wether you are a beginner, or a seasoned iron slinger, this place has you covered. Non intimidating atmosphere, clean, safe, and meticulously cared for, it's all I could want as a member.
