This shop is incredible. We were in Maui while friends of ours were getting married back in Chicago. We decided we should send flowers (they were having the wedding at their house)... So we looked up a place and decided to drive there. On the way, we decided to stop at a shop in Paia. We told her where we were going, the lady knew her on a first name basis, telling us that Judy might be out but to call the shop if we couldn't get her and she'd try to call her at home... anyway, we went to the flower shop and it turns out she was on the mainland but was returning today (this according to an artist who works in the next door shop). So we left her a card to send with the flowers and told her to call (the card was a handmade card from the lady at the shop). Judy called the next morning..we placed our order, not really telling too much other than a price range and that it was for a wedding gift. Not even before we left Hawaii our friends sent us pictures of some of the flowers (several varieties of proteas)... They apparently shipped a box the size of the person putting the flowers into the box. Huge. Enormous... Our friends were delighted and used them to decorate. We visited them the next week to see more photos to learn they did indeed get a ton of flowers. A few days later, we were walking down Division Street in Chicago and saw proteas in the storefront window... We stopped in and learned that the shopkeeper "was at a friend's wedding and their friends sent them so many flowers" ... Too funny. We've since just ordered more flowers and again are very happy! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Anuhea Flowers and the people who make it all possible. My grandmother is in her 90's and will not ever make it back to Hawaii which was her favorite place in the world. During the pandemic she was moved into a nursing home and our family has not been able to see her. When her birthday came in January, I tried to think of something I could send that would bring her a smile and fill her with great joyful memories. The islands of Hawaii! I made a call and explained the situation to a wonderful gal... not really sure of what I was looking for but just that I wanted it to represent Maui and arrive perfectly for my grandmother to enjoy. She was so patient and described options, the mailing process, etc. MY SWEET GRANDMOTHER WAS ABSOLUTELY OVERJOYED. She spends time looking at the arrangement every day, seeing how it's changed and thinking about her trips to Maui. I ordered a grand protea wreath online for the holidays and it came fast and intact. It's worth it to pay the extra $5 to overnight it. I had it sent to my mom that lives all the way in Texas and she was so happy to have a piece of Hawaii in our home. The protea are just beautiful and the wreath makes the entire house smell good. She has it hanging above the fireplace. This was my first time ordering from Anuhea and they even included a hand written card which was a nice touch. My only complaint is that I didn't receive any emails on the shipping process or when the package arrived. I checked the website several times a day and my order always said processing. It worried me for a bit and it's possible that they were busy for the holidays but it all turned out well in the end. It would've been nice to have instructions on how to take care of the wreath but I could easily look it up. The prices are better than any other place I could find and their flowers are so fresh and beautiful. I'll definitely be ordering proteas from them again! read more

Initially on the receiving end, I can attest Anuhea protea arrive crisp, moist, and tender no matter the distance. Judy takes great care in packaging, allowing her arrangements to last several weeks. I've now been an annual customer of Anuhea for 4yrs. Judy caters to personal requests in protea selection (something not often seen with pre-selected arrangements), often selecting flowers from gardens the very day your flowers are to ship. Last weekend, right before Valentine's day, I had to place a last minute order for a flower arrangement to be sent to a small area of Maui. Of all the flower shops I called, Anuhea Flowers was the most accommodating and provided the best selection of flowers. Judy, who I worked with over the phone, is extremely helpful, provided wonderful service and was very thorough. She helped me put together my order up to the very last detail. She was even willing to put me into their schedule to create an order the day before it needed to be delivered and also during the busy holiday weekend. I called a few other shops and they either weren't willing to deliver or asked for astronomical pricing to deliver during the holiday. The flower arrangements are unique and wonderfully beautiful. I would prefer to give 3.5 stars. The flowers were lovely and beautiful. The arrangement arrived on the day they said it would. The person who took my order was friendly and attentive. I would have given it more stars except that the follow-through is non-existent. Since I made my order by phone and charged by credit card, I asked for a receipt to be emailed to me. It never arrived, even after 2.5 wks and a couple of phone calls (in person and voice mail). I ended up calling my credit card company to confirm the cost. The onus shouldn't have had to be on me. Would I recommend? Would I do it again? Maybe. But I would talk to other florists too. read more
