Town & Country had the lowest current price by quite a bit! In addition, the man who answered the phone was very friendly and knowledgeable. He knew immediately pricing, appointment times, delivery policy etc. I found this to not be true of some other companies. For example, upon calling some of the others the person answering the telephone did not have current prices or know their companies policy on minimum delivery amount etc. They had to have someone call me back. Weird and very annoying. Who has time for that. So I appreciated Town & Country's quick and friendly response. I just received my delivery yesterday. The delivery person was quick and left my bill and a small gift of a nice mug and magnet and company info at the door. Very nice touch! Will use this company again in the future I am sure.

two years ago, I needed 6 natural gas wall heaters. When we were ordering and paying, everyone…read morewas nice. But on installation day, the installers completely ignored the marks on the floor and our directions for each heater and where we wanted it located. Called to tell the owner, they must come back and put them in the correct locations. There was attitude and even worse attitude by the installers that came back to put the heaters in their right locations. 3 days later, bathroom heater is leaking gas. Now two years later 4 out of 6 are leaking or when they burn they must get too much gas for the flame size. so i put up with the additional holes in my floors that were left as a hole, no attempt to close them in, cover them or caulk them...and yes, mice from the basement came in through their incorrect holes. The bathroom heater was replaced, out of my pocket, not the company...so I guess the wonderful warranty and service that were promised are a joke..My advice, re-evaluate the business and make the necessary changes before you burn down or blow up someones home, or worse yet having someone be overcome with gas while sleeping. not even attempting to have them try again for the fourth time. If you appreciate a business that tells you exactlty the opposite of what they really do.........And I am not going to waste the stamp and paper to send copies of the vet bills... when you have several gas leaks.....and you have children and grandchildren that come to my house,it is dangerous. but the almost fatal issue was the cats... but no one over there even has the human capabilty of saying I am sorry you are experiencing this. Nope, it was pass the buck... we must have bumped them or tried to move them and we caused the leak...Nothing to work with there now is there... when you hire inexperienced workers and do not properly train them or send them for training, it is clearly saying you do not care about the safety of your customer, but that you care only about how fat your wallet is... shame on you... no, I will not be notifying you of the problem.. cannot afford more lazy sloppy work that falls short of code. I will hire a company that does not lie cheat and try and pass the buck.. They tell me since I own my tank to go try somewhere else. Panicked, I start calling around. It's the coldest in a long time around here, and no one is picking up. I leave messages as I get ready for the wedding. Eric from Gastec calls back and after a few forms they tell me they'll be out as soon as possible. Two days later, worrying I may of messed up waiting so long they came out and filled the tank! $10 hazardous charge and lower price from my other supplier. I will definitely be using them again!!! They literally wrote "gauge doesn't work" in black marker on the tank. They never filled up the tank after they installed it because they "forgot to run the credit card on file". Then they said they would give us a new tank because we shouldn't have been given a broken tank to begin with and they will make sure someone comes the next day to fill it up. We eventually got our new tank and they hauled away the broken one but I had to call them 4 days later to remind them to fill it up. All of this was Heller's fault because of poor organization in their office. Well guess what! Even though this is all their fault, we got charged every time they came out here...hundreds of dollars worth to pay for THEIR mistakes. DO NOT ever use this company unless you want to deal with frustration and unorganized people!

Evidently Independence…read morePropane and Mark Delahanty didn't get the memo that they aren't supposed to care about customer service and whether or not folks run out of propane for heating their homes in mid January. I called Mark in a panic because I'd been trying for a week to get a propane delivery from Amerigas, with whom we've done business for 3 years. We were on automatic delivery, but Amerigas wouldn't schedule a delivery , even though our tanks were down to 13% capacity (and they told us to notify them if we got below 30%). They act like a bureaucratic dinosaur that can't get out of its own way. You have to deal with a nationwide call center and can never reach the same person twice. It was frustrating and infuriating beyond belief. I finally gave up, sent a certified letter to Amerigas telling them to remove their 3 100-gallon tanks, and scheduled a visit with Mark from Independence. Mark was willing to come out the next day. He and his associate installed 3 tanks, hooked everything up, tested for leaks, lit our pilots and was on his way to the next job in the space of about one hour. Independence has remote monitoring and actually talks to their customers...no more mega call centers to deal with, no Covid-19 excuses, no bureaucracy...just good old customer service and American work ethic. ..just when I thought they were extinct! What a pleasure to deal with Mark Delahanty and Independence Propane.

I actually received the delivery on Wednesday around 5:30am, waking my family and pets. To me delivery in the hours of darkness and before the family is awake is not acceptable and not safe. Limited visibility conditions during darkness can be avoided especially during non emergency and should be avoided. I tried to contact the manager and left a message to return my call but never heard back. I guess they weren't too concerned about customer feedback.
