Don't come in here expecting anything other than what it is.....a family run bar serving kick-ass food and reasonably priced drinks....and nobody speaks a work of English.
We had just flown into A Coruña an hour earlier and were headed to Muxia when the grumbly in our tumbly grew too loud to ignore. We pulled over at the very next bar-cafe we saw and lucked out here.
Bar Antoxo is very unassuming, clean and popular with the locals. And their food was awesome.
With out drinks we were served:
Tortilla España (tender, salty, and done perfectly)
Callos with Chickpeas (if this was your first introduction into Callos then you would come back for more)
We ordered:
Tortilla España (after all, with tortilla this good, a tapa is not enough)
Zorza con Patats (tender pork cubes marinated with chorizo seasonings and grilled with potatoes.....yum)
This place has two fully-stocked bars which is a testament to how popular it is.
We will come back. read more
