We arrived early for check-in, and the friendly staff was able to give us our room. Rooms were more spacious than I expected and came with all necessary basic amenities (except for an ironing board, but the front desk was able to provide). We had an event in Salzburg, but the hotel is located on the outskirts and it was a 20 minute ride to our event. In the morning, I was able to take a stroll and the property and next door were gorgeous. Unfortunately, I woke up too late to enjoy the breakfast. Boo! Happy with our brief stay.

The level of service was impeccable and all members of the hotel staff - from the front desk to the bartenders to the spa attendants - were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Situated in the countryside, the hotel has a magical quality but is still close enough to the city of Salzburg to make tourist activities convenient. It is typical German/Austrian cuisine. The only reason this got four stars and not five stars is because the boss/manager of the restaurant is a jerk. He made us pay for a soup we did not order. He insisted that were ordered noodle soup while we ordered goulash soup. He did bring us the goulash soup but left the noodle soup at the table because he insisted we ordered it. We're on vacation and I did not want to get into a fight. So we took turns eating the noodle soup. I must say that it was good. When it came time to pay I left no tip. I think this is the first time I ever did this in my life. I would recommend this place to Americans. I just want them to know that it is not you and the manager is a jerk and don't let it bother you. The manger is an adult male about 60 years old and a little bit on the husky side.
