I love going to Mexico to eat tacos and lonches. I didn't have the time to go yesterday, but I REALLY had a taste for this food. A friend recommended antojitos, and I'm so glad they did. 6 tacos with bistec was 5.99 and filled with avocado, queso fresco, a heart helping of bistec, and wrapped in a corn tortilla made with love. It was perfect and really REALLY good. We got two lonches which I was a bit concerned about at first. When I go to Mexico, I normally get 6, but they told me 2 lonches would do it because they were large. They made a good call with this. The lonches were MASSIVE, filled with bistec, and wrapped in a fantastic bread. It was filled with avocados and queso fresco as well. Now, onto the salsas. I love spice. When I was eating, I thought the tacos and lonches were missing a little spice so I tried their red and green salsa. It was unlike anything I got in Mexico and unlike anything I had tried where I'm from. It was pretty spicy( not so spicy the food was unenjoyable though) so it made the tacos and lonches taste even better. Oh, I almost forgot. THEY HAVE GRILLED ONIONS ON THE SIDE. I cannot believe this truck does not have more reviews! My friend suggested that I stop by this truck for the best tacos in Harlingen, and man do they really deliver! It's probably some of the best tacos I've ever had! TACOS: You can get 6 tacos for around $7! These aren't the big tacos - they are more of the mini taco style. Their meat options include: bisteq, fajita, barbacoa, molleja, and tripa. What I recommend? The BARBACOA and the bisteq are all solid options! You can even get 2 of three types to make 6 tacos. The tripa was a little disappointing - very chewy. But the barbacoa is some of the best I've ever had! So tender and packed full of flavor. Each taco comes piled high in onions, cheese, avocado, cilantro and delicious green sauce on the side! LOCATION: Can be a little tricky. But it's right next to NiteShift bar in the parking lot! Next to the Stripes! SEATING: You can take your food to go or eat at the many tables outside the truck! I will definitely be back! =) read more

The great reviews on Yelp brought us here! Even though it was out of our way, we were so glad we ate here. The bistec & tripa tortas we visually appealing & very savory!! Their limomda was refreshing & not overly sweet. Since we are from San Antonio, we wanted to take some of this deliciousness home. This is Harlingen's premier late night taco spot. Don't get me wrong, this food truck is top 3 when it comes to the other restaurants open during the day, but to me its biggest selling point is its later hours. The tacos always come fresh and drowning in queso fresco, and I am glad they don't skimp on these toppings. I usually get their bistek tacos combo, which is six tacos, beans, and a drink for around $8. They have outdoor seating as well as an indoor area where you can get out of the heat / rain. It is also conveniently located next to a bar, but alcohol must be consumed inside the bar. read more

Authentic Mexican street tacos! I went with half bistek half tripa extra crispy, both were amazing but tripa tacos we're the fav because they were fried to death just the way I like them! Portions are hardy, and they are generous with the toppings, no skimping on the cheese and onions. The tortillas are soft, not too chewy or greasy, and no double tortilla either! Found this truck by accident. Drove by on way to eat elsewhere and decided to try it out instead. Typical hand written signs on the window with the ever important information such as daily specials, prices and some good reading while you decide how many tacos to order and what flavor. I ordered 3 different meats and agreed with "all the way". Don't expect a friendly smile from cashier or chef. Your there to grab a delicious inexpensive street taco rivaling the prices I'm accustomed to south of the border. The experience wouldn't be complete without the counter leaning on its last leg making second guess if I wanted to place my money on it and risk it falling apart. The seating was more than enough for a quick bite and run. Tagged picnic tables who have seen better days. The salt shaker lived up to its name. Shake the humidity and clumped salt forcing its way through tiny holes just in time to add the final touch to the well presented and generous array of meats, cheese, onions, avocado and other taste bud stimulators. I eagerly took that first bite hoping the looks equalled the taste. I must say delicious. Rivaling if not surpassing neighboring brick and mortar taco shops. The meats were fresh tasty and free if excess signs of low quality ingredients. If I could overlook some of the esthetics of the truck and the dining area I could have givin it 5 stars. But then again maybe it's the key ingredients making the food that much more tasty causing a 5 de mayo celebration in my mouth. Well I'll leave that to you and your private party. Hidden gem in Harlingen. This food truck is amazing for 2 reasons. 1) The food. 2) The fact that its open until 2am every day. Seriously, there are almost no late night options past 12 in this area that are good, and this is a fantastic exception to that. The tacos are phenomenal. I say that after having lived in san antonio for 3 years, where I've had my fair share of mini tacos. This place is doing it so right. The bistec and the barbacoa are my favorite. The barbacoa is extremely tender, but it can be a bit too fatty. I prefer the bistec more. The tacos also come with onions (raw on the taco, cooked on the side), cheese, and cilantro. There is a green sauce, which is good. It isn't too spicy, just tasty. There is also a RED sauce, which you may have to ask for separately. It is amazing. Much more spicy, and really gives the tacos a kick that bring it to that next level. I highly recommend it. Oh and 6 tacos are about 7 dollars. A good deal, but it isn't a whole lot of food. The tacos are pretty small and I put down 6 of them pretty easily without feeling super stuffed. Overall, it is one of the best places I've found to eat at in Harlingen, and I hope to see more people coming here now that it's been discovered on Yelp. Do try!!! read more

So this has been one of my favorites for a very long time but lately they have been dropping to ball. To start off, their customer service is awful. When I called to put in an order one time the lady who picked up was just plain RUDE. Then when I went to pick up my tacos, she continued! She saw me waiting and just kept showing her buddies stuff on her phone. Second, the quality of food. The bistek is roughly chopped, they overload the tacos with cilantro, they barely put any avocado in the tacos, and when I ordered 4 orders of tacos I only was given 2 tiny packs of onion. I'm comparing this place to the Antojitos Yolis in Brownsville. Brownsville's location is the complete opposite! I love it there. I will definitely be looking for a different taco place until management addresses these issues. read more
