Antiques West is an incredible Syracuse gem that anyone who'd enjoy wandering through a deceptively huge maze of antique, vintage, and secondhand items would be crazy to overlook! It's a one-story warehouse-style building that's been sectioned and compartmented off into smaller areas where the wares of dozens (I think---it seemed that diverse, anyway) of individual vendors are arranged. The layout of the actual interior is deceptive in that you eventually reach a point toward the back of the main building where you realize that a series of doorways (and with abundant signage indicating what you'll find through each one) actually leads to several additional huge spaces beyond, each with even more items to browse. One of these "back room" areas contained multiple racks filled with vintage clothing (both women's and men's) that had clearly been carefully curated via the vendor's high standards of overall quality/vintage condition, and the diverse range of clothing types (costumey vs. casual/everyday vs. formal/dressy, etc.) was particularly impressive. My visit to AW happened accidentally and with only about an hour remaining until they closed for the day, so I know I didn't get to see all the rooms, let alone all the items, that were available at that time. Even so, I managed to find a wide selection of things to purchase (art prints, vintage collectible calendars, 5+ articles of clothing, two beautiful lamps, and more!) and was definitely able to confirm AW as a 100% worthwhile stop to include on any list of must-visit Syracuse antique/vintage shops. And what's more, every single staff member and vendor that I encountered while I was shopping went absolutely above and beyond in helping me find my way around, learn more about the back stories of certain items I expressed interest in, and trying on the clothing items I'd picked out prior to deciding whether to buy them. They seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me as a first-time shopper, and in turn I got to know several of them on a first-name basis even in the short amount of time I had to spend that afternoon. This was our third antique stop of the day and I would need a morning devoted to exploring. The best way to describe is it has potential as a combo with antiques and garage sale type items. It's seems unorganized and cluttered in places, but with lots of interesting items to look at. I honestly need a few visits to any antiques place to determine if I would regularly return. read more

A rebrand and a relocation, I was on my way into ReStore and said "wait, what? I'm going there next!" A single story building and full to the brim of all sorts of antiques and collectibles. There is a vast variety from wood furniture to costs, Disney and holiday collections. I especially noticed the artwork on this trip. There were a number of sizes and colors on display. Every nook and cranny was filled. I turned a corner and there was a literal closet of toys. It certainly makes you feel like you're on an adventure of antiques discovery! The parking lot is small for cars. It is directly on a bus line and is easily accessible from the highway and downtown. I didn't note any bike racks nearby, though it is within walking distance of the Creekwalk. read more

I have never felt so harassed. Every 5-10 minutes my daughter and I were approached by the same store personnel , then a different person(tag-team). I like to take my time and browse through a store to imagine how I would like to place items in my space. I felt very rushed and unwelcomed. I have been here a few times at his location and the original location, this will certainly be my last visit. I was exhausted, confused and annoyed when I left. FYI, do a better job at vetting your vendors...too much junk. read more

Stopped in today, awesome store, something for everyone (housewares, clothing, furniture). Multiple floors, there is a bathroom on the first level, staff were friendly and helpful. There was also a hot dog/sausage vendor outside too The third floor has an art exhibit but we didn't have time for that today. They are creating a railroad museum too. This business has only been here about a year so they are still growing/sorting/expanding. We did think the prices were a bit high, but I think those will also adjust over time, so we will definitely be back. read more

I was first a buyer- now a seller here! I've had nothing but great experiences especially with two of the front desk employees Sarah and Steve- so kind and VERY helpful. Also a lot of the time vendors are willing to cut you a deal on some of their goods or even sell you things that were for display purposes only/nfs (especially if you are excited about an item they have!!! This is an antique hobbyists freaking absolute delight and it's HUGE. Love it here read more

I went in yesterday to purchase a watch I saw in an ad on marketplace. No one greeted me when walking in, so I thought that was strange. I then went to the desk to ask if they had the watch I saw, a man brought me back to look at it. When I was trying it on he starts making very uncalled for remarks about politics and racial issues. I could not believe what I was hearing so I set the watch down, said "I'm not going to purchase this from you, those remarks were uncalled for", and proceeded to walk out. I will never give business to them and advise anyone else to do the same. Terrible service read more
