I am thinking about returning it 2 its place but i do not want 2 get in any trouble for it. I know none of the authentic artifacts are for sale . Thrifty's has two floors with 6000 sq. ft. of retail space and is filled with gently used merchandise at deep discounts. More importantly, proceeds support ECHO PLUS services for Emmet and Dickinson Counties' people with disabilities. This store also provides employment opportunities for these folks. Program participants sort and hang clothing, price items and clean. In addition, people from the community volunteer at Thrifty's to help keep things going. My Son has never met a yard sale that he didn't love. So as we were recently walking around Downtown Estherville, he made a direct path to Thrifty's Door. I looked around a bit, but quickly snuck out and headed for the Library. The Kid hung around a bit longer, made some friends, and later tried to convince me to buy a few things. Gayle is just fine sitting on the lakeside deck and reading a book. My Nephews love to go antiquing, of which I've been doing a little more of over the last year or so. And so it was that I wandered into the Spirit Lake Antique Mall a few weeks ago. This place is well organized, clean, with diverse offerings. Each vendor has their own space, each of which has pretty distinct offerings that make it easier to pick and choose spots to explore further. What gets my attention? Generally speaking that would include locks, knives, coin banks, and interesting boxes. Most are behind a locked cabinet, of which access by friendly and helpful staff was appreciated. The only downside for me is that some items like locks and coin banks don't include a key. However, subsequent eBay searches sometimes solves that issue, and usually at a higher price. Of the purchases I made, did I really need any of this? Next Question!
