I suggested we go there to look for furniture for our new home. They had a great selection of…read morebeautiful furniture and our salesman was pleasant and helpful. We were explained how the interest free payment option worked and decided on a sectional. They did not have the terms for the loan available that day, but we gave them a cash deposit of $250, with the verbal promise to come back to sign the documents and set up delivery. This was July 27th. The following day we received the loan paperwork and I didn't agree with the terms of repayment (read the fine print well) it was not the same as how it had been explained in the store. No matter which way it was explained to me, I refused to sign the document because it did not read the same. We decided to back out of the deal. I requested a refund of my money, and was told this wasn't proper protocol to give refunds of deposits but that since we didn't sign the paperwork they couldn't really hold us to anything. We were promised a refund check within two weeks. I called at around 18 days and was told by a woman in the office that the office manager shouldn't have told me two weeks because it takes as long as thirty days and that she could see through her computer system that the check had not been cut. September 12 I contact the regional office to ask about the refund. She apologized, she could see that it was due but they had not received the paper work from Long Beach to issue it. September 18 I contact them again to follow up. The lady is so nice but she says that they were able to get everything and the check would be cut but that I have to wait for the owner to come back to the office to sign it. This could take an additional 21 days. Needless to say I am upset. Cash money given and in less than 24 hours it is now taking us more than two months to get it back. Never again.

Awful experience in the Long Beach showroom. I do not write bad reviews and feel compelled to warn…read moreothers. The store employs deceitful tactics and plays games with pricing online vs in store. They do not honor online pricing and do a bait-and-switch upon arrival to the showroom. The fine print may cover this business legally, but what about ethics and having a higher standard than legal and doing the right thing for the right reasons? I do not ask for anything free. I thought by visiting the store twice, I was making a decision to support local business after two family friends made purchases, albeit years ago. They, too, are appalled at the pricing tactics employed and how we were treated. It's dishonest and not fair. I understand pricing mistakes but AFD is asking for trouble and mistakes due to the pricing tactics, mark downs and mode of standard business operations. I had an open mind on first arrival and saw multiple options in your store room and on the website. I simply went to a showroom to physically see and touch the products that are listed online. I was open to any promotion that was presented and of course, wanted the best deal and value available based on the products presented. The pricing tactics employed are changed often and felt like trickery. The website was changed and all versions and variations of a model were removed from the site while i was in the store!! There are variations of the same sofa, love seat, sectional, or the same material and different colors that are listed at a vast price differential ranging from $499 to over $2300 for the same product in different colors. That's fine. I understand some colors are more popular. However, it's also reasonable to believe that a sofa/love seat combo would be on sale and cost less than a very similar couch/chaise combo. The cream sofa-loveseat was marked to $749. The charcoal sofa-chaise was marked to $499. The cream sofa chase was over $2300. Essentially the same products. One of these prices is an outlier and does not align. The store employee was going to honor the online pricing. When asked about the price differential, we were told it depended on the timing of the product arrival. I'm assuming to the product showroom or when the store ordered the product. The manager make open verbal comments about money and the store profits. This seems odd to mention in front of the customer. There's more to the story. Say what you want, but it's not fair and deceptive.

If you are looking for home decor items or some furniture items, you should come here…read more I am not really sure why this place is called At Home. If I was at home, I would be chilling in my shorts and t-shirt with my feet up. I have a feeling they might frown upon that sort of thing here. Maybe At Store would be a more appropriate name. What does that to do with this review? Not much, but occasionally I type whatever enters my brain and you're stuck deciding whether to keep reading or not. I have been to this store a few times. The first time was when I was shopping for patio furniture and was a disaster. The second visit I was looking for a rug that would really tie a room together, and it was slightly less of a disaster. This store is massive. Imagine a Home Depot or Lowes sized store. Inside it is filled with a massive amount of home items. Everything from accent pieces, rugs, furniture, pillows, stuff I don't know what it was, mirrors, etc. was available. It was honestly a little overwhelming. Earlier I mentioned the first trip being a disaster and now I will elaborate. I was looking for a patio set that would be comfortable, durable, and available. This was my third stop of the day in my quest for a patio set. After sitting in about ten different chairs I found one that was perfect. It was super comfortable and affordable. The problem was that there was only one on display and I needed two or a couch in the space I had. When I went and sought an employee out you would of thought I asked for her first born child. Actually I think it would have been easier to get a first born child because she pretty much blew me off. I tried another employee and it was pretty much the same. The third told me she would call someone so I waited, and waited, and waited. I eventually said some expletives to myself and chunked up the deuce (shoutout Lil' Keke). I didn't ever want to come back. But I did. Why, you ask? Well after finding a less awesome set of patio furniture, I decided I needed a rug. I remembered from my first trip that this store had an enormous amount of rugs. Now look, I don't really know a lot about rugs. I seriously just needed one to put on the patio because I saw someone else with one and thought it was a good idea. The good news about the rugs here is that you can hoist one over your shoulder, pay for it, and roll out. No employee help needed. So that's what I did, and it all worked out. Plus the cashier was pretty friendly this time. Sweet!

The items are well stocked and the layout is neat and clean. I went to one location in Louisiana and everything was thrown all over the place. I will come back to this location.
