The restaurant is great. The service was excelent and the food was Phenomenal. A trully master piece hidden.
I cannot express enough the simplicity of the food and the delicate it felt. The soup of minestrone was just perfect with flavor and temperature. The Spaghetti was al dente and the podomoro sauce was just proportionally correct. The drinks were water and Sprite; however, noit even ice was needed.
Customer service was if not one of the best during my entire time in Italy. She was very patient and cordial the entire time.
I can tell you that the inside may seem intimidating; but believe me once you go inside the place absorbs you. The silverware was perfect with balance and size. The one item that will surely make you feel even more attached is the napkins which felt like silk (which I needed a moment alone to touch it).
The prices may seem a bit high, however, you would easily pay way more in a major city restaurant and the food there was worth every cent spent.
This restaurant is located on the path as you come out the second floor of St. Francis Basilica. Just keep going on the path and it would be on your right.
I would "Highly" recommend this location if you go to Assisi which is another great location over-all to visit. The views and experience were "Spectacular" a true reminder of a past era in current times. read more
