Fortunately for me, I spotted hand-made purses in front of his store one day. It astounds me that this highly skilled and detail-oriented artisan is not well-known in the Indiana area. John "Jack" Tocci has a passion for restoring furniture from days long past. I hung onto Grandma's chair for several years. This piece of furniture was about as beat up as it could get. It belonged to my Grandmother and fond memories were attached to it. No way was I going to be talked into letting anyone haul my family history to the dump. It was a huge dilemma. John is somewhat of a perfectionist with restoration. I was asked to come in to choose fabric in the beginning. When I arrived, John had chosen rolls of material to choose from that was reminiscent of the period. He explained the advantages and disadvantages of each fabric based on years of experience. John is amazingly knowledgeable about fabric, wood, and types of fasteners. I know nothing about "old" furniture so I may not have given the man justice and that's why I posted pictures.

I live on the opposite coast and was buying an antique car located in PA. I contacted PPI and after…read morea phone conversation decided to use their service to inspect the car. They did a fantastic job and saved me a ton of money and one HUGE headache. There were issues, with the car being 65 years old and original, but nothing unexpectedly wrong with the car. However the paperwork was screwed up, no one saw it, not the dealer and not me. Had it shipped to California with that paperwork it is likely I could never have registered the car in this state or if I could it would have cost a lot of time and money to do so. Because I used PPI the paperwork mistake was found before shipment and is being fixed by the dealer. Once I receive the corrected paperwork and the car I should have no troubles. PPI did an excellent job taking numerous photographs as well as checking and documenting everything and follow up conversation discussing all the issues and findings. Had I have gone to a nationally known brand it would have cost more and I doubt I could have gotten better or more professional and personalized service. PPI is a great value for the money. Thank you, PPI

As I walked into the shop I noticed my mirror sitting against a wall, filthy and covered in debris. I told the gentleman that was there (not the owner) that the mirror was mine and that I was picking it up because it was obviously never touched since it had been dropped off. Apparently this is not the first time this has happened. The owner Frank never called us, never said he could not do the job and left my mirror in the junk pile. If I could give less than one star I certainly would. Never again.

I qualify as a bicycle rider -- I purchased the smoothest riding bicycle at this shop a few years ago. I'm not here to rave about my bicycle. I want to let you know about Bob's expertise with musical instruments. My Instrument of Choice is an old closed-hole Pearl flute I purchased used a couple decades ago. It's provided me many years of happy creative musical expression. I confess - I have been a negligent flautist and not once did I ever take my friend in for professional maintenance. The longer I didn't do well by my flute, the more dread built up about the diagnosis if and when I finally brought her for a wellness check. You know, kind'ave like putting off going to the dentist? Ok - I may be stretching it. You know what I like about doing business with Bob? He not only has the expertise - the man has passion for what he does - and I felt lighter after dropping off a win instrument needing tender loving care. How can anyone determine whether a musical friend appreciated a "spa" day? For me, her tone was distinctly more melodic and mellow! Happy flute pictures of Pearl to follow.
