***Wait, Stop, Don't go to Anthony!!*** Anthony Pazos lied to me and cheated me out of hundreds of dollars. I recently got my hair extensions done by Anthony, and my experience went a little something like this: 1. I wanted to go with Anthony to purchase the hair and he was suspiciously against it: Anthony claimed the hair he was using was 100% virgin Indian hair- this was untrue- the hair was pre-dyed caramel and was 22" long-- Virgin hair is not color treated and rarely comes that long. 2. I got Micro-Link extensions: Anthony applied the Micro-Links to the top of my head and all over the sides so that I could not run my hands through the from or even the sides of my hair. He applied the extensions too tightly and the stuck out at a 90 degree angel and were extremely visible is the slightest wind blew. 3. I sent a simple picture of what I wanted the results to look like simple dark-to-caramel ombre- The results weren't even close. **4. I had to pay an additional $500 at a different salon to have he extensions removed and readjusted to my head. 4. After literally the first wash, the extensions looked like garbage- the hair became extremely dry, matted and very tangled- after the first wash- I kid you not! Even more unfortunate, the hair was impossible to flat iron smooth! I literally had to curl my hair every day for it to look even half way decent. Note: I get the Keratin treatment, so my natural hair is silky, shiny and healthy- I use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and use a keratin leave-in. I am a product snob so I knew it wasn't anything I was doing and I had extensions before. 5. When I complained about this to Anthony, he became very defensive: I asked him how much the extensions cost him and he said "like, $4-500" If he purchased premium extensions and wasn't lying, he would have know exactly how much they cost. Furthermore, if the extensions actually cost $4-500 I wouldn't have complained after a week about them shedding and tangling. This guy is a con-artist- don't go to him. After a month-and-a-half of my $1500 hair extensions (not including the cost for color, cut, or Keratin) I simply had to remove them and throw them away. read more

Overall Conclusion: No receptionist to check in with. Service was good, Cely is very down to earth & was focused on doing my hair, taking great care to provide a fab result! Some miscommunications. The suit is very well kept; clean & inviting. DETAILS: Anthony Pazos Salon in located in Salon Republic suite #39. My appointment was set for 10:30am, I arrived at 10:20 but there was no receptionist to check me in or direct me, but this is not Anthony Pazos Salon's direct responsibility since there are many suites shared in the building. I knocked on the door of Anthony Pazos Salon, to which there was no answer, & no lights on, so I sat & waited. Cely was a few minutes late but greeted me promptly & let me in to a very clean & inviting white room with a simple lovely decor. Although I had mentioned prior in an E-mail when booking the appointment what I was looking for Cely was not aware & I tried to show her pictures & explain to her what I was seeking. Even then I felt that what I truly wanted could not be practically done, so I took her suggestion. Getting to this decision seemed very time consuming, but once the gears started grinding Cely was a pro. Very organized, she knew exactly what she was doing & at that point I felt trusting & at ease. Over half-way through the process, another woman came in who seemed busy. I asked if she also worked there, & was told she shared the suite to do eyelash extensions. This other stylist had a conflicting appointment at 1pm, which Cely didn't seem aware of, & told the other stylist she would need more time to finish with me. The other stylist & her client waited outside chatting while Cely finished blow drying my hair. Despite this conflict, Cely continued to put all of her attention to finishing up nicely. She didn't seem to look rushed or stressed, which I was VERY impressed about after about 2 hours already working with me. When I asked Cely to take some "after" pictures the other stylist came in & told her she'd have to start with her client because they had been "waiting long enough." Of course I felt bad that they were waiting on us to finish, & I was happy my appointment quality wasn't compromised because of it, but this probably could have been avoided with better communication between stylists &/or receptionists/appointment bookers. My finished look was polished, toned up, & a quick trim helped the ends look instantly healthier. However when my partner saw me, he didn't notice anything much different about my hair, which verified that it wasn't as bold as I was hoping the end result would be. Cely told me that it may lighten up within a few days, & after dying my hair for much of my life, I know the true result will be in a few days to a week from now. Over all the experience was pleasant, & I would recommend Cely & her awesome calm persona to anyone who wants someone they can trust doing their hair. read more

Such a positive attitude and always does hair right! Never cheated anyone but because he is so amazing at what he does he's bound to get haters!( and in particular someone who got free service and free hair) I have absolutely nothing negative to say about him and his work :) I look and feel like a princess everytime I walk out of his salon! I have recommended friends and family that were also impressed. He really works with my schedule and will even come to my house if I am running short on time. First class ALL the way!!!! read more

I am absolutely in LOVE with how my hair looks! I went to Anthony without really knowing what I wanted to get done. He was patient with me and recommended a fuschia balayage. He and his assistant Cely were so professional and worked very well together. They both made me feel super comfortable. As they were dying my hair Cely explained each step as they were going along which I really liked. My hair came out looking great and I get compliments all the time. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Anthony is the most amazing hair artist! We have used him on many of our last shoots, including our Gothic Magazine editorial feature for Hello Drama Jewelry and our Invasion Magazine cover shoot featuring Nylon Pink! Anthony is so talented we give him very little direction and just let him take complete creative control. He has come up with so many amazing and varied looks, many defying gravity! I wish he could do my hair every single day of my life! He also cut my gf's hair into bangs recently. Shes a stunning girl but the bangs lifted her look to a whole new level of hot! read more

I've been getting my hair done by Anthony since I moved out to LA in 2006. I was really attached to my stylist Amy back in New York, the transition was scary! But, Anthony has done an amazing job with my hair over the years. He's done different colors, highlights, extensions, and cuts of all lengths on me. read more

Anthony was very sweet and energetic throughout the whole process. I went from pretty much natural color to a reddish pink. My hair went through a full bleaching and then had color added. Unfortunately I am pretty sure a good chunk of my hair will have to be cut off further. I have had blonde hair before but never have I felt so much damage in it. I had a hair mask in for over 6 hours and I switch to deep conditioning products but sadly nothing has been helping. The color looks great though. read more

Anthony is amazing! I told him I wanted and he just gets it. It is the best hair style I have ever had!! I got my hair dyed a purple-red brown and cut into a long dramatic a-line with tape in extensions in the front. People stop me on the streets to ask where I got it! I trust him with my hair and let him do his thing because I know he will make me look amazing and sexy. 6 STARS!!! read more

Want to take your hair to the next level? Want to be treated like royalty while it's done? Anthony is a true one of a kind. Insanely talented with all kinds of hair. I've watched him effortlessly style short + sassy (mine), African American (my client looked like Tracee Ellis Ross when he was done), and edgy sophisticated long hair. PLUS he knows how to ROCK extensions and always makes you feel like a celebrity. Worth every penny! read more

I am very protective of my hair and I trust almost NO ONE to color or cut it. I just moved to the LA area and was referred to Anthony by a good friend who promised me that I wouldn't be disappointed. My friend was right....I was absolutely amazed when I saw the finished product. Anthony is officially the ONLY person I trust with my hair. The color, highlights and cut were all exactly what I wanted. I was also impressed at how much he knew about what to do with my hair according to my face shape and skin tone. Anthony Pazos is extremely talented and I feel very lucky to have found him to take care of my hair and make me feel confident about myself in a city where everyone goes the extra mile to look fabulous! read more

Anthony is amazing! I recently went to him for the first time, and will not be using anyone else to recieve any further hair styling from. From the minute I got there I felt like I was greeted by an old friend. Anthony makes you feel comfortable and empowered and really listens when you speak. He colored, cut and styled my hair. I trust him completely-as he did a wonderful job, and really knows his stuff. I recommend him for any service you might need. read more

Anthony is simply amazing. He is meticulous and extraordinarily kind. He will make you feel most welcome in his space. His attention to detail is what I appreciate most. I'm pretty sure he gave me one of the very best haircuts of my life. I gage that by the compliments I was given in the week after my cut. And I noticed the layers he cut into my hair were looking better than ever. Without question, I give him my highest recomendation and would happily refer him to anyone in need of a stylist. read more

No matter the treatment - whether it's a haircut, blow out, Brazilian straighten, highlights, you name it - I would never go to anyone but Anthony. I have never been in such a good mood, felt so confident and had such gourgeouse hair! Im inlove with this hair dressor! Thank you anthony pazos!!!! For being the best hair stylist on the planet! read more

In all honesty, you will not get a better haircut. A simple fact. I can prove it with math.

Been going to Anthony for close to 3 years now - and wouldn't go anywhere else. He's great at both giving suggestions for a look - but also great at giving you precisely what you asked for. He has a real versatility in his approach - something that as a guy I'm not used to with hairstylists in LA. Usually they take the generic one-size-fits-all approach. But Anthony really works with you to make sure you get exactly what you're looking for. Can't recommend him enough. read more

Anthony is the BEST! He absolutely just understands hair and what it takes to make it look flawless. I've been going to him forever, and I won't let anyone else cut my hair. Even after moving, I specifically will make flights back to LA to have an appointment with him. He pays such close attention to detail and doesn't let you leave until you look your best. Plus, he's just a really cool person in general MAKE YOURSELF AN APPOINTMENT! Trust me, you won't be disappointed! read more
