They simply submit the taxes for you, and charge you almost $200 to do so. I will never use them again. Update: After the horrible experience with submitting the taxes, they did not even use the information we provided. Our taxes were submitted with outdated bank account information, so instead of the directed deposit we were expecting, we now have to wait for the bank to reject the deposit, and then the refund will be mailed to us as a check in 5-6 weeks! We should have known not to go back after they input the social # incorrectly last year. Mistake after mistake, causing us major delays in receiving our refunds. I'd highly suggest finding another Tax Preparation company for your taxes.

After being audited by MA for huge mistake of my income on my state return, I set an appointment in…read moreDECEMBER 2015 to have H&R Block amend my return. As to their policies, if the mistake is their wrong doing, they will refund any penalty and interest due. They submitted for my $213.00 interest and never received it. Late January 2016, I realized that I still had not received it and made a few more calls. In the middle on February I was told that a check had been mailed and that I would be receiving it in a couple days; well the beginning of March (5th, 2016) has arrived, and my tax consultant informed me that the request had been submitted again and awaiting regional approval. Upon my followup this morning 3/7/2016, still nothing had been done. I called and asked to speak to the regional manager but was intercepted by the store manager. I was assertive that I was going to post to social media if this claim was not resolved immediately. I received the approval email shortly after to find the it will take ANOTHER 4-6 weeks to process this refund due since December 2015. Calling the corporate office after a period of time the call was ended; I'm not sure if they hung up on me, but I never received a call back to finish the conversation. So let me me finish it here by NOT RECOMMENDING HR BLOCK - They do NOT stand by their work.

BEYOND TERRIBLE!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! Mark Love makes far too many SERIOUS mistakes. Last…read moreyear the IRS fined us $722 for a 'Failure to file' penalty. The IRS took this $722 penalty out of our 2019 tax overpayment which Mark Love failed to tell us about. We also received a notice of a 'Late Filing Penalty' from the MA DUA. That form mysteriously disappeared when we sent if to Mark Love for an explanation. After making a serious mistake in calculating our 2019 estimated taxes Mark Love made an even more SERIOUS mistake in calculating our 2020 estimated taxes which resulted in us OVERPAYING our 2020 taxes by more than TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($29,000)!!!!! We waited months for the Commonwealth of MA to refund more than $8,000 of our overpayment. We are still waiting (a YEAR OF WAITING) for the IRS to refund more than $20,000 of caused by Mark Love's TOTAL INCOMPETENCE. BUYERS BEWARE OF MARK LOVE. BEYOND TERRIBLE!!!
