It felt like I was being upcharged for something that should have been detected and disclosed in advance. When I calmly pointed out that this felt like a scam and was ethically questionable, I was met with immediate hostility from the office manager, Linda. Instead of engaging in a professional dialogue, she became defensive, removed the $400 charge, and then had the audacity to tell me, "You should just be thanking us that we took it off," as though I owed them gratitude for not being overcharged for something I never agreed to in the first place. Later, when I attempted to call and speak to her respectfully, she cut me off and snapped, "Don't call me love," in an unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful tone. Her overall behavior was unprofessional and dismissive -- especially considering I was trying to resolve a legitimate concern about transparency and billing. What stood out even more was her attitude when I said I would be writing a review about my experience. She brushed it off and essentially said, "Go right ahead," making it clear she had no interest in accountability or improving patient care. On top of all this, I had the same procedure done a year and a half ago at a different dental office and only paid $300 with insurance.
