Also I just saw my doctor and she refused to spell the name of my suspected disorder for me or put it in the virtual visit chat, despite my hearing loss. She assured me that a 3rd party provider would make the information available to me, so it wasn't necessary. the 3rd party provider who she works with a lot won't give it to me for another month, and nobody at the clinic will call me back to give me the name of the disorder, or give me the report the person I'm being referred to will need, or even tell me where I can sign a release to have that send over. I'm told it may be days before anyone gets back to me even about the name of the disorder. Absurd. I expected some delays and lateness from a respected specialist in a small field. I didn't expect significant barriers on every single contact. Happy to have my referral and move on. EDIT: Finally got the name of the thing she was referring me for and it's a form of dwarfism and has nothing to do with any of my reported symptoms. I'm above average height. So either she didn't even google the thing or she knows it's absurd doesn't care. The report also suggested I may have the thing I was trying to see the doctor about initially, but she LAUGHED at my noting that the symptoms had changed in the past year and refused the diagnosis, or even referrals for physical therapists who know about the general category of problem I'm having. I suggest avoiding.

He is very personable, always remembering my history, my family and the stressors in my life, both at home but more importantly, the stress I experience in my professional life. He understands that a physical diagnosis may have many other affects on the whole person. Dr. Shen always gives me a personal phone call when there are new test results, even if the results were all normal! He doesn't have someone else make the call, but makes the call himself! He is very kind, empathetic, and an amazing practitioner who gets not just the diagnosis but how that diagnosis may affect my life. I cannot sign off without mentioning the other clinic staff members as well. The staff are always friendly, helpful and treat everyone with respect. It is rare not to be greeted with a smile. In every department, staff are always efficient and respectful. If I call the clinic nurse-line, I know I will receive a return phone call. I don't have to sit and wonder. From my experience with HealthPartners Coon Rapids, I would highly recommend this clinic.

I was given an appt, showed up, and was told that there were no orders for lab tests. I showed my Minute Clinic papers and they did not even take a photo copy of them. I was told that my dr was on vacation, so come back in 4 days. Not a good answer. Then I was told to make an appt at Urgent Care. Ridiculous, not urgent. I was told to wait for a nurse. I waited 20 minutes more. No nurse came. Then I was told that I could get a phone appt with a different dr 90 minutes later. A phone appt would not suffice for a lab (urine) test. And they did not copy the orders/recommendations from Minute Clinic. I left.

Then I told the ever so friendly and kind Tony "I need a B12 fast lab done". Tony asked me for my phone number, name and date of birth. As he typed away I jokingly said... yeah, I'll be back here on Thursday for six more labs. Tony glanced up at me "I think we can get them all done today." Wonderful!! Tony handed me the blue paper w my sticker and told me to drop it in the basket below the window on the opposite wall. Thank you Tony for exceptional and such friendly service...for 7:00a.m.! I don't think I even waited 15 minutes when Diana called my name. We walked in to the room where I confirmed my name and birthday and she poked me. I didn't count but maybe(?) took seven vials of blood, since I was to have seven labs. Maybe less, as it didn't feel like seven since we chatted while she did it. Diana then said I was done. I said "what? I thought I'd be here all day?!" Diana said "you weren't even here five minutes." Thank you Diana for such quick blood draws and being so friendly. I went to see Layla for lip injections. It took me a long time to decide to get this done. I am in…read moremy late 50's and wanted to decrease some lip lines. I went with my daughter and received lip fillers. I ended up with nothing on my bottom lip. The injection on the top lip was all on the inside of my lip. It ended up looking like I had a fat lip, and they were uneven. It looked like I had no lip line at all. Layla offered to take it out with an injection or charge me for another vial. She didn't offer to fix it or refund my money. I was embarrassed to go out I was thankful that I wear a mask. I ended up going to an RN and paying more to get them fixed. My daughter let Layla know and she didn't offer any compensation she only told her she's a competitor, and she'd tell you that. I have pictures of before, and after. She isn't anywhere near Blaine, and I never told her who Layla was.

He is a true surgical genius and recognized nationally for his training and expertise in endo and excision. I have referred several patients to seek his care and everyone has left feeling "heard" for the first time in their lives. My husband and our families enjoy his soft spoken, kind and sensitive approach. I have never met a doctor who listens the way Dr. Palmer does. I also think a very unique feature of this clinic is their "team" approach to your care. Dr. Palmer is the endo/excision specialist but when we were facing infertility he referred us to Dr. McEvoy at the clinic who is the resident "fertility expert." I found this approach incredibly refreshing and it proved once more that Dr. Palmer is focused on providing the best patient care NOT his ego. Like any business I've had a couple bumps with trying to schedule things or a receptionist who may have been having a bad day, but the care here is second to none and we are all human.
