Arrived in Queretaro after midnight. Had Casa Antares (New name) booked for one night. Called for ride, Pablo and the driver were at the airport within 15 minutes in a spacious van. It was also nice that Pablo had a white board with our name on it. First time here, you want to feel safe.
Pulled in to Casa Antares and it is a beautiful oasis in an otherwise unspectacular area. I think you definitely need transportation if you stay here. Pablo graciously showed us to our room which was just outside a beautiful little gathering space (see pic). I spent the next hour sitting in a porch swing enjoying the great 68 degree night with a nice breeze.
Rooms are nice enough although previous reviewer was correct about no ceiling fans or AC. For us, 1 night stay before we explore some of Mexico, this was not really an issue. Looking forward to breakfast in the AM (starts at 9am). Room has a big bottle of drinking water, coffee maker, small refrigerator.
Home-cooked food was excellent!!
Thanks Pablo for making us feel very welcomed even at the late hour of our arrival. Would recommend a stay here under our circumstances. Not sure how I'd feel if it were really hot out. Nice place, well kept. Clean. I'd stay again. read more
