I have to share an experience that I had with the Pediatric dentistry of Dr. Brody located in…read moreAventura. We have seen Dr. Storch at that practice which we found to be very aggressive and lacking bedside manner when she insisted to take x-rays and told me in front of my child that my kids will end up in the hospital in an emergency care unless you take an x-ray. I find the lack of sensitivity to the fact that there is a child in the room very alarming for someone who is taking care of children. Fast forward to another week, we were actually scheduled to do a cleaning in that practice which we scheduled months ago and only on the day of the cleaning after waiting for our appointment for months Dr.Storch has called to let me know that they are mandating taking a full month mouth of x-ray for all kids that are simply coming for a check up and cleaning which means lots of unnecessary radiation for your child simply because they want to come and have a cleaning. Not sure if that's their way of making more money or what. I find that practice to be very aggressive and unfriendly and did not appreciate the tone that was used throughout this whole experience by Dr. Storch. I've heard from a few people that they had similar experience with Dr Storch when it came to bedside manner but now I got to experience it myself and had to share it with other moms.

When I tell you I have been looking forward to my appointment last Friday . So when I got there I filled out paper work . They signal me to the back and say exactly "ok , your co pay will be $50" at this point I'm floored because how unorganized can you be. I said again " I don't have a co pay ". Then another nurse corrected her and said "it's for the x-ray machine" so okay I send the money and they put me in a room for the x ray and the nurse in my opinion was a bit lost , took her an extremely long time to get me X-rays about a good 30-40 mins(2nd red flag) . Doctor was straightforward to the assembly line ( talked for a sec tapped on a couple teeth) I tell him I'm here because I am in pain (not really any empathy or compassion as to fixing why I am here today ) . Then goes okay the financial planner will be in to discuss an Active Treatment Plan(3rd red flag) . Really I'm looking to get this tooth pulled from being in so much pain. And we are discussing how you can make money I was not able to think clear . They had me confused on what to do either you pay today or you pay today . It was no longer about me and why I was there everything I am here for my insurance covered . I knew because I called them (my insurance) before calling around again for an appointment. Needless to say I was not able to pay them so I got a nothing . I left exactly how I went in with pain . Not even prescription for pain or anything . It's like they didn't care . So the nurse of course missed up a few teeth so she had to go back and correct my plan. I asked for a copy of my X-rays that I paid for . They came back and told me that they didn't take the photos (4th red flag ) honestly I couldn't even process what she told me from the pain level I was experiencing. I just told her to send my money back . I am from Ohio and I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism since I have been here finding a dental office has been a nightmare . INSURANCE SCAM. I have two stars because although I was extremely mishandled the red head in the front kept a smile on her face. I should have never went to this doctor after the first red flag however when you have been through the experience I have with something's as simple as finding a dentist you vulnerable to any situation but maybe that was GOD telling me NO because all the red flags were there . She was able to quickly repair it and took the time to go over the veneers option with me. I couldn't be happier I decided to go with her.
