This is a pretty standard Wal-Mart. Subway is available inside the entrance. I find this very convenient if you want to pick up something quick for dinner. The deli inside has some hot food available as well but I personally have not purchased the hot food items. The produce area can be a bit of a hit or miss as a lot of items are in high demand and rarely in stock for long. The items with a quick turn around are usually always fresh. Some of the other items not in high demand you may need to watch out for. I've gotten green onions before that were a bit old for the shelf. Clothing and furniture items are well stocked and available in a nice variety. I find it pretty rare to find staff available at any department. When there are staff, I'm rarely asked if I need help finding anything. They have a small clearance section next to Lawn and Garden which I always browse. Since they have added the self checkout option, it has helped with check out lines. At all times of the day, I find there are usually 1-4 check outs ran by employees unless it is black friday. Some of the staff can be very professional and helpful.

Plenty of room to park the RV. However, I do not know if overnighting is allowed here. Oh, one thing. The Wal-Mart is NOT located where your GPS thinks it is. My GPS was telling me I still had half a mile to go when, OH MY THERE IT IS, GOTTA TURN IN NOW.

Tips: - The bags of plums were delicious…read more - There was only one self-checkout kiosk working when I was there. I needed to get fruit and snacks. I did a search and found this Giant Tiger on Main Street. It was maybe an eight-minute drive from where I was staying. I came here on a Monday. It's located in a plaza, across from a Chinese buffet. I had no problem finding parking. I parked and walked in. I knew that this store was a good one when I saw Old Dutch popcorn twists. They are yummy and you don't have to deal with the hull getting stuck between your teeth. However, each hull has fibre, so you do get that tradeoff. Anyway, the twists now come in salted toffee. I grabbed a bag. OMG! They were so good that I ate the entire bag when I got back to my hotel room. Oops, but so yummy! I came for fruit. I got a bag of plums. They were smaller in size, which was perfect to have a couple each day. They were the perfect ripeness. I just finished the bag. The grocery section is cool. I saw produce while I was looking at fruit. The dairy section had lactose-free milk, eggs, and more. I saw frozen pies, and racks of ribs that you heat and eat. It had everything that I like. I ended up getting a Canada t-shirt. I forgot to pack my Canada t-shirt for Canada Day. I like that I paid $10 for it and didn't break the bank. I wore it all day the following day. It was comfy and fit nicely. There was a bit of a lineup at the checkout. A man was using the only self-checkout kiosk that was operational. I ended up getting a human. There were two women cashing folks out. I got a nice woman who rang up everything. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I declined getting a bag. I carried my goods to my vehicle and put them in my reusable bag that I brought with me. It's a good store. I'm glad that I found it for my grocery, snacking, and t-shirt needs. (232)

You have to enter the mall to get to this store. I entered through the Sobey's entrance. The mall entrance is next to it. I'm thinking that there's likely a closer mall entrance to get to Winners, but I could be wrong. I liked shopping here. The cosmetic section greeted me. I ended up getting watermelon toner. I've been using it since I bought it. It has a nice watermelon scent and has been effective removing impurities nicely so far. The handbag section had a nice assortment of colours and styles. Sadly, I didn't see any Kipling bags. The shoe section was a bit of a disappointment to this woman who wears size 11 footwear. There were only two items that were in my size. The sneakers looked cool, but I didn't need them. I wasn't interested in the other pair. The phone accessories section is also decent. I got a four-foot USB C-to-USB C cable. I have been using it in my rental car. It charges my phone quickly and the length is perfect. The checkout lineup was long when I got there. However, it moved quickly. I got a nice woman who saw my TJX Style barcode on my phone and scanned it immediately. I then paid for my items with a credit card. Done! I thanked the woman and left with my items. I put them away in my reusable bag and drove off to my next destination. I like that Steinbach has one of everything. This store is the only Winners in the city and it's great. (230)

I had placed a dinner order at Santa Lucia and had thirty minutes to kill before picking it up. I hadn't been to this Walmart, so I headed over here to get some fruit. There was plenty of parking in front of the store. This Walmart is a part of Clearspring Centre. It isn't attached to the mall. Rather, it's a standalone building next to it. This store is the only Walmart in Steinbach. I appreciated the simplicity of this city having exactly one of everything, with a few exceptions. The grocery section was in front of me when I walked into the store. It was exactly what I needed. I looked at dessert. There were individual cake slices. I then saw Kipling single snack-sized cake versions that were individually wrapped. I got the lemon version. It's pretty good for cake when you are travelling. I managed to eat one of the six slices on the plane heading back to Toronto. I was here for fruit. I went with apple slices. I ate half of them in my hotel room and the remaining half at the airport in Winnipeg. They are convenient when you are travelling or just don't feel like cutting fruit up yourself. I was happy that I got fruit checked off my to-get list. I did some more browsing. I ended up getting some Noodle King ramen cups. They were perfect for adding water and heating them up in the microwave when I felt like a snack in my hotel room. I will say that Noodle King ramen isn't as yummy as the ramen cups that you get iat Dollarama. I'd skip getting them here. I saw plants to the right of the entrance. They looked healthy. It would be a bit messy to bring a plant on the plane, so I didn't get one. I saw a lot of canned soup. Tim Hortons is getting into that market. I do love the chicken noodle. I have never had the potato bacon. I'll need to give it a try one of these days. I got a nice man at the checkout. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I brought a reusable bag and placed my items in there. I wished him a good evening and left. Coming here to get fruit and more was perfect. I headed to pick up dinner afterwards. Perfect! I liked shopping here. I'd return to shop here when I'm in the area. (273)

There are too few techs to get it done at random, but no big deal, I can wait. They said it could be done within their winter preparation package for $49 rather than just separate maintenance... something like a shop hour... so a great savings. Happy customer!! But wait! Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of success. My wife and I showed up in two vehicles to drop off the car. Why? Because our local CT is famous for taking a few HOURS for an oil change. Long time to sit on your thumb. So we came prepared!! Oh, there's more... the tech said they can only do the oil change, not the winter check!! Which I had waited the extra week to get so they would have staff available. The tech then said we didn't have the winter check scheduled!! Then he said the thermostat wouldn't have been included in the winter check!!! Then the young man accused my wife of lying!!! I told my wife $#@%$ and concluded that we'd leave before someone got hurt. Since our local CT lost their service manager, ALYSSA, their shop has become a gong show of gross incompetence. Avoid the STEINBACH, MB CT IF POSSIBLE. It's worth the trip to BC to see Alyssa at her new shop... another CT that is likely worthwhile.

Told them to remove them and replace valve stems, they call me to tell me the tires are too bald so they can't replace stems. Problem is, tires have less than 40k on them, then they tell me warranty is prorated. Took tires, went to Kal Tire, their guy says "those aren't bald". They are getting me hooked up. #canadiantirecentre There is always a scam or upsell when dealing with them. Last time it was "we can't sell you just two tires for your hummer, it's illegal for us and unsafe" even though other two tires were 2 months old. I learned my lesson, never again. Two valve stems ($20) would have ended up being $300, will never use their service center again and will be sure to warn everyone that they will try to upsell unnecessary service. Unethical and basic warranty on tires is not honored.
