I went there for a haircut. They have a mobile coat rack but instead of putting it by the door, they put it at the rear of the store for staff use instead of for customers. Also, they used the chairs from outside for my friend to sit inside; it was odd. They could simply bring my friend an indoor chair.
When she was washing my hair, she rubbed my neck strongly a few times using the towel instead of gently pat dry, and she put her finger into my ears instead of drying my ears with the towel. Would she feel comfortable if she were me? Also, she did not wash my hair thoroughly (the process was quicker than the other hair salons); she either only used shampoo or conditioner on my hair which was unprofessional.
Furthermore, she took off the smock when she showed me the length of my hair. This was suspicious because she should not take off the smock when she had not finish cutting my hair, and also we would see the length more clearly with the smock because the smock was white. So I put on the smock to see the length of my hair and I saw that she had cut my hair one side longer than the other. So I asked her to cut my hair again to even it out. Moreover, I showed her the picture of the hairstyle that I wanted when I arrived. However, she took a long time to cut my hair and she still got the hairstyle wrong. That means she was inefficient and ineffective.
When she was cutting my hair, she dropped the big hair clip on my shoulder and she hit my head when she pulled my hair. She also used the hair dryer to blow the air into my ears for a long time. She was not careful with customers. In addition, she dropped the tool onto the floor and then used it on my hair. If she was that careless and unhygienic with customers, that means she did not really care about customers (e.g. she did not brush off the hair bits on my face after she finished cutting my hair, and she did not give me a facial tissue to wipe off the hair bits). They should be extra careful if they are in the personal service industry (e.g. haircut, pedicure, massage).
P.S. When I looked at my haircut more carefully in the mirror later, I realized that she had cut the left side of my hair about 1cm shorter than my right side. No wonder she did not want to show me the length of my hair clearly at the front with my smock on. That means she was just playing with the scissors the whole time when I asked her to cut my hair again. They were unprofessional and unethical indeed. read more
