Advanced Women's Health is an awful office. It is dirty and the staff there is thoroughly incompetent of any medical questions you may have. As you sit and wait, so do the staff. I observed the receptionist and noticed she was not writing any notes down regarding the phone calls she was getting. I can personally attest to this because she never called ME back on a year long issue I had with the billing (more on this later). The staff gossips and stands around rather than doing their job, whatever that is. Very unprofessional. I am not sure where she hires these women but it seems to me this is how she keeps her profit high and payout low. Dr. Anna Gevorgyan is the the epitome of a doctor who is only concerned with the money that flows into her 'medical' practice rather than really caring for the patient. I was seen by her last year on June 2-3, 2013. She saw me, asked about my symptoms, took tests, and sent me off on my merry way. Her staff rescheduled me for my appointment for the following week for a routine check up to see how the medication worked out. My lab work was sent to two lab offices. Before my second appointment, the office called me to tell me that they no longer can see me because they realized that they did not accept my insurance. I was billed for both lab tests (totaling abut 300 dollars) because of her staff's inability to thoroughly check medical records. I have been receiving and fighting them about the same billed for a year now. I had to have someone to speak on my behalf, sit in her office, and demand action regarding her unprofessional manner on handling the bill. It was an "usual" event to have someone do that; however, we wouldn't have taken such action if she staffed better people to handle of administrative business. Initial appointment went well after a bit of a wait. The doctor was able to help with a problem that I had been suffering from for the better part of 2 years. However trying to get a follow up appointment has been a joke. They can't seem to 'find me' in the system. Like I wasn't even a patient. I am still waiting for them to call back and it's going on a month now. Would sure love a refill on my bc prescription the doc gave me but can't get anyone on the phone. Had such an amazing time at the Montrose regenerative clinic! I am a full time model and always extremely hesitant to have anything done to my face because on camera it's 1000% easier to detect and I prefer a natural look. I had the PRP and piano treatments. The PRP smoothed my skin it and gave it an amazing plumpness I always dreamed about! And the piano treatment tightened and highlighted my jawline something I have always been VERY self conscious about. I also noticed my bookings have gone up since I had my treatments! It looks like I am one of many here who had a bad experience, although all I did was a consultation for a laser treatment. I've done laser before in several clinics and never had such a bad experience as in this disorganized establishment. First, appointment booking: I told them I've done laser before and I want to come in for a touch up/follow up session. They said, it's their policy to talk to a patient first. establish if s/he qualifies, talk about the dangers, risk, etc. Fine. Policy. When they called to confirm my appointment I asked again if I can have the laser treatment after the consultation (once they establish my candidacy), they said no, first consultation, then they'll schedule me for a treatment. Fine, I said again, its the policy. But when I came in for an appointment, I was asked, right away by the receptionist and BEFORE the consultation if I want to do the laser treatment the same day .....WTF??!?!? WHERE DID THE POLICY GO?! I told them about my attempts to schedule a session after a consultation...and that I made other plans and could not stay long....no reaction from the staff....that was a red flag #2. I decided to do the treatment after the consultation. Little did I know that I would have to wait 40 minutes for my turn ! Did I say I was on time? Yep, noon, sharp. On a side note, there was a girl who came in after me, she got a call from the office asking if she can come early. She did, but judging by the fact how long I had to wait, she waited even longer. Whats the point of asking someone if you can come early then?!?!?! Anyway, I was finally attended to, the consultation was a joke. I told them I did it before, i need a touch up, everything I could tell them over the phone. But after 40 minutes of pointless waiting I had to leave! I could not stay any minute longer.... Anwyay, I am requesting a full refund from Groupon. I do not wish to receive any medical treatment in this facility where they do not respect its clients/patients and I most definitely do NOT want to wait 40 minutes or more every time i come for a treatment (there would be 6 of them). Don't waste my time people! Pull your sh#$%t together. You can surely attract new customers with groupons, living socials and the like but you will loose them pretty quickly once the clients come for a first visit. what a letdown. Way below the standard. Wow. Where do I begin. They caused so much stress in my PREGNANT wife because their nurses don't know how health insurance works. My wife has her first appointment and everything is fine, they do the tests. The blood test took THREE visits because they don't know how to draw blood correctly (a lab did it perfectly the first time). She goes in for her second appointment and have her wait for 20 minutes then tell her they no longer accept our insurance. 1. If they looked at the system, they'd see that she's covered (we called our insurance when we got home). 2. If that was the case, why wait to tell her WHEN SHE'S AT THE OFFICE, for the second maternity appointment? No one called her beforehand, no one asked her questions about her health insurance. Our insurance was acceptable for the first visit. Then confirmed with our company that it's still good and still accepted at the doctor's office, but they REFUSED to see my pregnant wife making her stress out and thus affecting the baby. I flat out would avoid this office at all cost. It will save you a lot of time and energy and your baby will be better for it. read more

This is really odd, reading all the other reviews here, considering that my experience with the Dr. herself, and office staff was very much positive. I've had a routine exam as my first experience, and based on that service - I've signed up for laser treatment (hair removal). The Dr. is very knowledgeable, and detailed in describing findings, and answering questions. I just hope there are plenty others happy with the services who have not left reviews yet. Dr. Gevorgyan is the best. Very knowledgeable and experienced. I do not really care about the customer service comments, as what matters the most to me is that the Dr's knowledge and experienced. And trust me, she knows what she is doing. I went to visit her with my mom, who is also a Dr. and after our first consultation, we scheduled 5 different treatments with Dr. Anna. Bad Reviews suck.. and I normally don't do them but this has just gotten out of hand! I personally like Dr. Gevorgyan! She's always been friendly and just straight forward which is fine with me. I've always been able to ask questions. never felt like I was left lacking any information when leaving. My Issue stems from the office staff. In Person I feel can be nice. but when it comes to trying to get a prescription filled... GOOD LUCK So far not once has it just been as simple as placing it on auto re-fill at my pharmacy because when it comes to having to be authorized for a refill, my pharmacy can never get a hold of them and when I call in, its one thing after another. and then with an attitude! Like its my fault that you are not doing your job and its taking 6 weeks for you to get a prescription filled..? Birth Control at that! This last time at least it was not THAT bad, but as woman we now have the right to choose ever year or up to every 3 years for our yearly. Rx was up for refill auth. placed my refill request on Monday at 8am. they try for 24-48 hours to get an answer from my Dr. Pharmacy calls me to tell me that they can't get a hold of the drs office on Wednesday I get busy at work and don't get a chance to call but I do today... I have received NO CALL from the Drs office. I call them I will be nice and not name names. Gal who answers: (to be honest I'm not sure what she said but I do believe it was just the department she was in..) me : Hi this is (my name) My pharmacy is trying to get a prescription refilled and they can't get a hold of your office Gal : *sigh* whats your date of birth? Me : date of birth Gal : oh you need to come in for your yearly its been almost 2 years. I'll go ahead and refill it this once. and She's getting ready to hang up the phone! Me: excuse me, but no I have the option to go 3 years Gal: ok fine. I'll get it taken care of and the line went dead in the middle of my "Ok thank you" THANKFULLY she actually did have it refilled. But Rude, very rude and this is how they have ALWAYS been. BUT even if I was due for a check up, don't just ignore the pharmacy! give the patient a call! or a reminder card... life gets crazy things get missed or messed up. dates get wonky time flies. if this was a one time thing.. i'd let it fly but this happens EVERYTIME I have to get Auth for refills. For me this birth control is more than just birth control it helps regulate the madness that is woman hormones... if this gets off schedule... its not going to be pretty.. at this point.. Dr. Anna is the best, I went in for a consultation and we ended up doing one of the procedures that day! There was minimum downtime and my friends and co-workers have already been commenting on how healthy my skin looks. I grew up having really bad acne that left heavy scars through out my face. Been in the office twice. Both times, the wait was absolutely crazy and we all had appointments!!!! Call in to change an appointment and hung up after being left on hold for more than 5 minutes. Spent money on a package of treatments because it is close to home and figured I'd be in and out. But, I would rather let them keep the money then go back and have a 5-minute procedure be a 45-minute ordeal because their scheduling is so bad. My time is valuable, too! If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. I purchased one of the laser treatment packages. My consultation (after waiting 45 minutes) consisted of the dr asking me if I had any questions. No information from her about the treatment, no pre-treatment care. Nothing. Just do I have any questions. At the first session I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to be taken back. The room was dirty, there was oily residue from the previous client on the medical bench, the dr sneezed without covering her face, and she burned me. I don't even know where to start! This place has some of the most precious staff and doctors of anywhere I've been! Not sure what the other reviews are about but as a very particular patient I can assure you this office bends over backwards to accommodate your needs and make you feel comfortable! I've been here several times and have seen both Dr Bahtia and Dr Gevorgyan and they are both awesome! I had a great experience with Dr Kevorgyan and her staff. The wait time in the lobby was longer than expected, however the staff was attentive and pleasant to deal with. The Dr took her time with me and arranged to have a needed gynecological surgery done within a few days. She personally made the phone call to the surgery center and rearranged her schedule to accommodate my request. I felt safe and comforted by her bedside manner. Although the office decor is a little outdated, the caring attitude of the Dr and her staff more than makes up for it! read more

I went to this place for both gynecological consultation and laser treatment. Before going I read the reviews here and was very skeptical about the place. But the price was really good and the location was convenient so I decided to take a chance. Also I have heard very impressive things about Dr. Gevorgyan's knowledge and surgery results/experience from her actual patients so when it came to my health I thought to choose professional knowledge vs. customer care - "bedside manners" mentioned in others' reviews. To my surprise the wait wasn't bad at all; I mean there was some wait-time involved but it was a doctor's office and just because there were cosmetics done at the same place I didn't have unrealistic expectations of a spa treatment and punctuality so it was just like in other medical offices especially the ones that accepted MediCal & Medicare. That was the first pleasant surprise. Second one was the actual laser machine! I've been receiving laser treatments for years now in different doctor's offices and different so called Medical Spas. In all those places machines were pretty much alike, some a bit newer some older. And NONE of those had such advanced laser machine! I mean it was a totally different level speed and pain wise. The treatment that would usually take about an hour to complete was done here in 20 mins (that compensated for my wait time too). Also as for pain, I'm really sensitive and the nurse kept on asking as she was treating areas if I was ok and if I needed any numbing cream. She was done half way when I realized that to my surprise I didn't even feel the need to use any numbing cream (saving of about $30 depending on a facility). It wasn't painless of course but it was totally tolerable - another very pleasant surprise! This was my first experience at this clinic so I can't say anything about the time before obviously, but as of now I for sure highly RECOMMEND Dr. Gevorgyan as a professional and the clinic overall for cosmetic treatments. Dangerous & Unsafe Practices with complete Unprofessionalism! I scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Anna R. Gevorgyan, MD as a new client for a birth control refill after the receptionist had verified over the phone that my insurance was accepted. I arrived at the office, and was surprised to see that the whole place was filled with brochures for plastic surgery and botox pamphlets. I asked the receptionist if I was even in the right place as it did not look like a gyno office. She assured me that the doctor was a gyno and looked for my appointment in her books, but said she did not have me as being scheduled, but she could "fit me in." I thought this was odd, but was glad to be seen. Then after doing the paperwork she apologized and said that they didn't except my insurance after all, and that I could pay the $100 something fee to see the doctor. I was disappointed with the miscommunication as I had specifically verified with her via phone about this before coming. While I was there and had already requested off work I inquired about their botox. She said the consult was free and I sat down with the nurse. The nurse did her best to sell me all of their cosmetics services except for the one that I was inquiring about, and I told her I was only interested in raising my eyebrows a little with botox. I asked her if the doctor was board certified to do this, and she said yes. Then the doctor came in and I told her my goals for raising my eyebrows up a little bit. She said she would do that and proceeded to get the botox ready. I was seated not on a table but a regular chair as she stood above me. She just quickly lifted my chin and without haste asked me to raise my eyebrows as high as I could and as she was injecting the botox she said that I had lines in my forehead and it felt like she started injecting those instead! She injected four or five spots quickly and then simply walked away as I was asking her questions about it. I was pretty taken back by the lack of professionalism and careless injecting. I paid for botox and left. Within two days I started to see my eyebrows fall. Now my eyebrows and eyelids have sagged (worse on the right) than I've ever seen my face look! The results are terrible and everyday it seems to look worse and I have droopy eyelids! I called the office to speak with the doctor or the nurse about this. The receptionist put me on hold and then told me the nurse would call me back. I did not receive a call, so I phoned again later that afternoon and the receptionist put me on hold again and then came back and assured me the nurse would call me as soon as she was done with the patient. I received NO RETURN CALLS! I have received no calls yesterday either. I phoned them again repeatedly through out the week and now they are not answering my calls. I was able to reach a voicemail for their "Bixby Laser" and left a message explaining who I was, what had happened, and my frustration in lack of responding and that I wanted to patient chart revealing where the doctor injected botox. No one has returned my call. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC! As I went to complete the incident date on the Medical Board for California Complaints, I looked at my credit card statement to get the exact date of billing and noticed that the name and address of the place that had billed me does not match up with the doctor's gyno office and is under a completely different name and address, not where I had this procedure completed. This doctor is UNPROFESSIONAL and I am unsure if I was lied to about her being board certified to perform this procedure. The unprofessionalism in lack of responding leads me to believe that this may be very possible. read more

These reviews make me laugh. This is by far the worst "Drs office". I too purchased a living social deal for laser hair removal. I purchase living social, groupon, and other deals all the time and I have never had a problem with them until this place. I called and made an appointment for a consultation. When I arrived I wasn't even greeted. The first thing the receptionist says to me is I hope you didn't have to leave work to come here and I told her I did. She then tells me that there is no one there to do my consultation and that she could call the dr. and ask her to come back. She then, right in front of me, calls the dr. and tells her that I am waiting and asked if she could come back to do the consultation. I then wait 20 mins for the dr. to come back and she starts doing my consultation in the waiting room. I reluctantly made an appointment for the following week and just kept telling myself that maybe they were having a bad day. I went in for my first appointment and it's a completely different girl who argues with me because she thinks I didn't have a consultation because it wasn't with her. Finally she does the treatment and I book my second appointment. When I come back for this appointment the receptionist is on the phone and there is no sign in sheet. I wait up at the desk for a good 10 minutes with no acknowledgement and finally take a seat. The receptionist is still on the phone with the same patient being completely rude and yelling at them. I read an entire magazine before another girl finally comes out and asks if I have an appointment. I told her I do and she asked when I made the appointment because there is nothing on the books. I told her I made the appointment after my last session. She then tells me that there is no one there to do my service and that I could make another appointment for a different day. I told her that this has happened to me twice now and that it wasn't cool. I have left work for these appointment and was losing money just to go sit at the Drs. office for no reason. She said that the two girls that used to do the laser hair removal both quit and erased the appointment book, deleting all the appointments that they had scheduled. I went home and emailed living social asking for a refund and they credited my account. I then emailed the Drs. office and of course they never emailed me back. Please save yourself the time and effort and DON"T GO HERE. There is a reason they are on living social. The three times I went there, I never saw another patient in the office. It's the worse customer service I have ever received and I can't believe this establishment is still open. read more

I bought a groupon to get laser and I had a bad experience the first time I went. I made my appointment and they called me 2 times to reschedule because the doctor had to leave for surgery. This was the first bad sign. I got laser, which I've done in the past several times and it has never hurt so badly in my whole life. Not sure why but usually when the nurses do it they usually apply pressure on the area after each zap, this doctor just keeps going (maybe because there are 5 patients waiting). I figured maybe it's done differently here and was expecting better results but that was not the case, my hair grew back way faster? I go in for my second appointment and the waiting room is full, about four other people waiting. A girl got up and complained because she had already been waiting for one hour, I asked if I was next because I was here 10 minutes before my appointment. Nope, I still waited 1 hour. I don't believe if someone has an appointment you have to wait this long. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

I rarely post a review, but after months thinking about it I think it's the responsible thing to do. I went to Advanced Women's Health looking for a female urologist. I waited forever in the waiting room. Once I was able to see Dr. Gevorgyan, she did not greet me nicely or have any bedside manners. She treated my situation superficially and just ordered some urine exams. She even said I needed further procedures without even discussing my options. She just left the room without any time for questions and guidance as to what to do next. She must have been with me at the most 5 minutes (and I paid a lot of money for the appointment). I walked myself out and was trying to discuss the exams with the nurses. As the rest of the reviews point out, the office situation is total chaos and disorganization. The office is so dirty I felt I was going to a sketchy unofficial medical office. Now that I am reading the reviews and it seems like she has no license to practice in California, all of it is truly disturbing. After my urine exam, I had to call in multiple times to request the results since they never took the time to contact me. I never scheduled a follow-up appointment. I decided to visit the head of the UCLA female urology who has 53 years of respectable experience in his field. Do not waste your money or potentially put your health at risk. This is the WORST location that you would ever want to visit for treatment. The front office staff lacks in professionalism and courtesy as well as the physician. Dr. Anna Geovorgyan, lacks the "bedside manner" that should be afforded to her patients. They are disorganized, never knowing what you are there for or your file is incomplete. I went in for laser treatment and purchased a 6 treatment package. I had participated in one session and received complimentary numbing cream. When I arrived at my second treatment the rude medical assistants Delia informed me that it was going to cost me $20.00 for the cream. When I inquired as to why I was not notified prior, she told me "they have a lot of patients so they cannot alert everyone to the changes. And she just told the patient prior to me and she was fine with it." They also have no respect for your time. My appointment time was at 9:30, when I arrived I was informed that the doctor was not going to arrive until 10:00. After waiting 90 minutes to be seen I approached the front desk to inquire, the rude MA, Nancy decided that I was unworthy of being addressed by name. I suggest anyone who comes across any promotions for this office, regardless of how sweet the deal is---Run for the hills. You truly get what you pay for here. My recommendation is to pay the extra money to be treated with Professional courtesy and RESPECT!!!! If they had a rating of less than a star, it would surely apply in this case. read more
