The prices are to high for what you get but you're also paying for the name and the tradition I guess. If you visit, make sure to have a look inside where you can see the kitchen. and if you're lucky, you'll be able to see how the cakes are made.

It also seems a bit dark; maybe due to the black flooring and offset lighting? Also there aren't many places to charge your electronics in the G gate area. There are decent food establishments in the food courts and intermittently in the terminals. Not the worse airport but certainly more on the list of bad airports than good airports.

I rode the S7 twice and young Austrian guys were smoking in the train. I did not experience much warmth and friendliness in Vienna the week before Christmas. Even the airport staff was cold and rude. And then, just before heading to the gate for my return flight to Paris (relief), I stopped by Panopolis in Gate F of the Vienna Airport. The woman working here was pleasant and very polite! I ordered a croissant, which was freshly baked, delightfully warm, and absolutely delicious. This was at 6.00 in the morning! After a week of coldness and rudeness that had me regretting my visit to Vienna, I enjoyed my last half hour in the city thanks to a polite woman with a warm smile who wished me a safe trip and a delectable croissant. Joy to the world.
