He is very knowledgeable and quick to diagnose the issue and treat them accordingly. My babies recover within the given time of the problem. I currently have a dog that is very skeptical and anxious when going somewhere out of the norm. Dr Nichols' calm nature somehow puts my dog at ease. I would recommend Dr. Nichols to anyone that wants excellent animal care. The office staff is very helpful as well. They give you an itemized statement of your charges. Which by the way are very very reasonable. I lost my car keys one day outside of of their office while walking my dog. It was scorching hot outside. While there was another employee in the office, the lady at the desk came outside to help me look. I know we looked for at least 30 minutes in the scorching heat until they were found. I couldn't imagine any other clinic having an employee that would go out of their way for something that was not at all in the job description.

We sadly just lost our Max and the whole staff and the vet was treating him like a king while he was so ill before he passed. The whole office was so caring and compassionate and sad as we were. It was so comforting in such a sad time to see how much love they had for our furbaby and they treated him as if they were losing their own. In a sad time it made my heart happy to know on his last day he was given so much love by the entire office as well as our family. I will continue forever to bring my other fur babies to her and her staff and I can't say thank you enough for showing our family the love and support that they gave us. I will always 100% recommend them to all family and friends. I wouldn't trust my fur babies with anyone else! If I could give 10 stars I would that's how great the office is!! Either way i paid it but this place is terrible, they hurry out to bleach the area which is needed but never picked up the bags of poop( nothing to do with me) in the parking lot ! I cannot say enough about Dr. Werner and her staff. I have many animals and they always remember…read moretheir names when we come in for a visit. One of my dogs, Chip is a rescue and he is extremely distrusting of people. Ashley and Dr. Werner were so great with him that he gives them kisses! When my pit bull, Biggie developed food allergies, Dr. Werner taught my husband and I how to switch our animals to a human food diet and it has been much healthier for them and has saved us a lot of money to boot. They run and play and act like puppies again at 8 & 9 years old! When my dog, Chip broke his leg, Dr. Werner was looking at him every few days after his surgery and evaluating his pain. She was knowledgeable and anticipated his needs. The break had been so bad that my dog was going to lose his leg. With Dr. Werners guidance, I was able to alter his diet to feed him more calcium, she gave him weekly B-12 shots to stimulate the growth of a nerve that had been damaged, she taught me how to stretch his leg to prevent muscle atrophy. Yesterday I got the news that Chip will get to keep his leg. It is thanks to Dr. Werner and her amazing team. I will never go anywhere else. I live in Evansville but I make the drive to Henderson for Dr. Werner and her staff's excellent care. I have 3 dogs and a cat who are all thriving thanks to this place.

UPDATE 11/8/15: We had to finally take the 3rd cat in for something, and still had a great experience. Even though there wasn't anything wrong and we were just being paranoid pet parents, Village East made sure to explore the possibilities without charging us an arm & a leg. They even complimented us on our cat's name (Falkor) saying, "That's an awesome name for a cat." Adopted a cat from the shelter back in 2009. The process was simple. There was an application to…read morefill out but there wasn't a home visit. You're able to come in & look in the cat different cats they have available. They have a sign in sheet to make sure that people don't steal the animals. I think that has happened in the past. They also have cameras outside because they have an animal dumping issue. They recently redid the cat room & took the cages out & made it a room for the cats to jump around on cat shelves. You can tell they really care about the animals here. The shelter takes cats & dogs to the PetSmart in Owensboro on Saturday mornings for people to see the animals & adopt from there as well. Pets are available to see on the shelters PetFinder.com page.
