It's gotten a lot more organized in the clothes section which is great. I used to hate looking for jeans here but they've rearranged it, you can just look by size now and they've made it easier to see the sizes and price. They also have a rewards punch card, every time you spend $5 you get a punch. Once all 10 spots are punched you get $5 off I believe. I mainly shop for clothes here but I've found some good dish ware and cooking items. They always have workout weights as well. This is also the only thrift store in dunnellon to have shopping carts, comes in handy when you buy a bunch of clothes like me. They accept card here too. Like any thrift store, you never know what you're gonna find. The two negatives I have is 1. the shoes aren't organized by size and it's not in one section. They're atop all the clothing racks but I guess that saves on space. 2. It's always hot in there! They need better air conditioning.

It was a WIN! One of the many places we visited was the Hospice Hope Chest. Let's start with the two ladies behind the counter who are simply lovely. My daughter and I both left with some treasures, she departed with more than I did. ;) I purchased a collectors item for a friend's birthday and a fantastic gold vintage clutch for myself. Let the record reflect I didn't need another gold nor vintage clutch, but also let the record reflect it gives me JOY! So for $8 and to support a great cause, I bought it. If you're a fellow thriftaholic and find yourself in Mount Dora, stop by the Hospice Hope Chest. It's an accessory haven and they also have a few amazing furniture pieces and lots of items for the home. The store is arranged well and the customer service is superb.

We were not on the market for anything in particular, we were just walking and talking while shopping. My friend found a super cute quilted blanket for $25. I found one of those stadium things for your pantry spices for $5. They had an Anchor brand casserole dish with lid and carrying case for $15; I should have bought that. They have a vintage bar cart that I want but again- what will I do with it? That's what I had to ask myself while perusing the store- what will you do with this? They have so much stuff! Not everything has a lot of detail. How much silver if any at all- are those old silverware sets? Ladies at the register were nice. We will come back again- I'm sure they have many donations throughout the week.

The clothing, shoe and even costume jewelry (and purse) selections are amazing! I came in to put my gently used nice clothing on consignment (for store credit) but I came away with 5 pieces of clothes: from a dress to several pairs of Capris and a nice blouse. The classical music played in the background also lends itself to a peaceful and happy experience. You can try out clothes in one of 2 rooms which have ample hangers and a chair for comfort + a perfect mirror to see how the clothing looks. Cie Cie can point you out to anything you need AND she carefully removed each tag from my purchases as she totaled the sales on the cash register. She's got 1/2 price sales and other bargains throughout the store so it's incredibly cost effect plus the clothes is notches above other second-hand clothing stores. I didn't go to the men's clothing/shoes section in the back but they've got one! Cie Cie herself is so friendly, warm and welcoming. I love this place and I don't plan on buying my clothes from anywhere else from now on. A+ and although I was there for the first time two days ago, I'll be back this week for MORE.
