Very shortly thereafter, Dr Ruoh Sim saw me. Even though it was the end of his shift, he heard me out on ALL my concerns and provided a solution for each one. I received a breathing treatment in the office, and the doctor gave me prescriptions before I left the office. Visit was 1 hour in total that included roughly 45 minutes of treatment time. Note: I am traveling from overseas, paid out of pocket, and had a flight scheduled for the following day. Dr Ruoh treated me with all of these factors in mind. Professional, kind, and thorough.

The reception staff were friendly &. I saw the triage nurse quite quickly & had about an hour's wait to see a doctor. People need to appreciate that these guys have a tough job. Anyone & everyone turns up at their door. Yet they are always professional. Dr Lucien was excellent & provided the medical care I needed. He also explained I was able to be on ACC, which meant my health care was a good bit cheaper. Having worked in urgent care in England and compared the two, I believe St Lukes was excellent & can highly recommend them. Hopefully, will not need any further treatment, but would definitely go back here.

This has been my local Accident and Medical Centre forever. Literally, I have been coming here…read moresince I was a screaming baby in the night.It was only relatively recently that it moved down the road into a much flashier, much bigger, much more modern space. But the great thing is that the service and the faces are just as friendly and sympathetic. These ladies are lovely, they're like mums - which is great when you;re not feeling good and all you want is a mum hug. If you're in a lot of pain, they send you straight through and the communication is really good which is super important. If i'm in pain I wanna know how long I have to wait. No matter what time of the day or night you turn up, they'll take care of you. I have had nothing but good experiences here, obviously apart from the reasons that I was here in the first place.

I drove my friend here who was clearly suffering a minor asthma attack - she couldn't breathe very well. The very young doctor sees us after the nurse has interrogated us for a full 10 mins. I appreciated her thoroughness, but my friend wasn't in a condition to answer all the questions. Finally they get the bright idea to put her on some air for a while, but they didn't give her anything as a precaution against another asthma attack except a few pills for allergies. A spacer and new ventilator would've been nice? She ended up in hospital the next day. So we should've just taken her there in the first place, instead of spending $60 to watch them puzzle over her for half an hour. At least the receptionist was bubbly and nice. She made up for some incompetence of whoever was on that day. Moral of the story: asthma attack = call an ambulance, NOT go to East Care.

This place can be busy from time to time, so there may be a wait, but they do prioritise urgent cases, and to my opinion, they do a great job. Happy to go there when I can't get into my regular GP- it's always been a great back-up service for me and my family, and I have never had any problems over a good 10 years or so of using this service!

It's also great for just calling in when you need a doctor fast and there aren't any appointments at your usual. But beware you will get stung with a hefty bill. There is also sometimes a bit of a wait but this is nothing if you have to wait ages to get into your actual doctor. The staff are onto it, friendly and know what they're talking about. There's also a chemist right there so you can get everything in one go. Seriously handy if time is of the essence and you're just popping out during work hours. I'd really recommend going here if you're in need of a doctor fast or if you want a lovely doctor's clinic to be a part of.

Fees for consults are expensive, from $41 (child) to about $70 (adult) during weekdays before 6pm + prescription if needed, from the on-site pharmacy. They also have a resident physio and podiatrist. Toys are on hand for pre-schoolers, dated magazines for the adults, and/or you can people-watch: more interesting while you wait! Convenient pop-in clinic - open 7 days.
