This cruise was not good. First, they advertised a 4 hour snorkeling experience. I understand that…read moretravel time will be included, but it made no sense that it took ~45 mins to get to the spot going there, and over 1 hour to get back. The return trip was so slow. We were baking under the sun. (This felt like it was done on purpose so that they could kill time so we would return at the 4 hour mark). They don't even offer free water for us to drink. Instead they charge something that should be provided since we will be without access to water for 4 hours. It's a shame that they would deprive people for that long without water knowing well enough that they will be in the sun for that long!!! That's not right at all. The first stop was to Seashell Island and wasted ~1 hour of our time. It was nice to see, but it was not what I expected to happen on a snorkeling trip. So let's do the math: we had a total of ~1 hour 45 mins of travel, plus ~ 1 hour on an island that you could see only a bit of since it's large and you couldn't possibly see it all. That is a total of ~2 hours and 45 mins. Now how much time is left for snorkeling?? About 1 hour and 15 mins for snorkeling. But it wasn't even that much. We probably spent about 50 mins snorkeling on this human made ruins (they called it ruins) that is covered in moss and contains about 50 tiny fish and a lot of seaweed that will make you itch. I guess they charge per fish you see. I also found it odd that they had life jackets but didn't recommend us to have them on while snorkeling. In the event of an emergency I wouldn't trust the two captains to assist in a timely manner. Instead, they recommended we take a pool noodle along with you to snorkel. The captains were not even charismatic or gave us any talking points. There was an attempt at spotting dolphins, but that failed--probably not their fault, but was annoying because they were sailing so slowly under the hot sun. Also one captain had a beautiful accent, but I couldn't comprehend anything he was saying (the sound system was probably to blame). Sooooo to sum it all up: DON'T GO HERE. Save your money. I write this review with the intention that others think hard before they choose to go here not because I like saying bad things about a place. Thanks for reading!

I recommend calling if you want something specific, as the website is representative of what is actually in stock. Otherwise just show up. Then it was a nice paddle back to shore. This is the perfect date night activity, whether you're beginners or have done it before. Only 2 people max can be in the same kayak as long as they are under the weight limit, so if you come in odd numbered parties, someone will have to be fine with kayaking alone.

While I understand that weather can impact operations and trips may need to be canceled for safety,…read moremy frustration comes from the complete lack of communication before and after the cancellation. Prior to the trip, I attempted multiple times to contact the company with questions through email, text, and Facebook messages. There was no way to leave a voicemail, and despite messages clearly being read, I received no response. Then, just four hours before the scheduled trip, a generic automated email was sent canceling the experience and instructing customers to request a refund. After that, communication again became nonexistent. I received no response regarding next steps for the refund despite repeated outreach. Unfortunately, I ultimately had to file a dispute with my bank to recover the payment for a service that was never rendered. Weather cancellations are understandable -- poor communication and lack of customer support are not.

Fish Pro Charters - Captain Kellen…read more Captain Kellen Ankrum flat out worked his butt off for us! My teenage son and I had fished a short trip with him last autumn. I liked him enough to book two full-day trips with him for myself and a buddy 8 mos in advance. So last week, we fished for Tarpon, Grouper, Snapper (several kinds), Amberjack, and even caught a Cobia and hooked a small shark. The AmberJack fight like banshees, and the Grouper were big enough to stress your arms to the max! I have never tasted fish as sweet as Mangrove Snapper and Red Snapper. We limited out easily in the first 90 minutes! We fished in-shore; Tampa Bay under the Sunshine bridge; sandbars; "the Hole"; and 40+ miles off-shore on those two days. Had a blast!!! Knowledgeable, friendly, laid back, smooth boat, adjusts his methods to your level of ability, and just flat out works hard!!! Just don't book him on the days I go back!!!

Parking is right across the street, so it's a very short walk. We shoved off, right as the sun was coming up, and had a nice easy ride out to our first fishing spot. Capt Kellen is an expert at operating all of the electronics on board as well as managing the boat and taking care of his fisher-persons! We caught a few Snapper and Grunts at the first spot, stayed just a little while and moved on to the next. We started reeling in some big grouper at the next spot, along with some Red and Lane Snapper. When the fish stopped biting or we started catching "non-keepers", we'd move on quickly, which was awesome! When we were finished, we headed back in. The water was a little more choppy coming back in but the boat handles the big waves like a champ. We docked and Captain Kellen unloaded the fish, had us take some more pictures and started cleaning them for us. The crowds(both people and pelicans) gathered around. It was fun to watch the birds waiting for their lunch! It was a great day and we can't wait to do it again!
