I have had the absolute worst experience with Dr Gopal Kataria. This is the first bad review I have ever written, and I sure hope it is the last. This was my first experience with Dr Kataria as my previous orthodontist retired (Dr Brian McGuiness, who was wonderful). He ran nearly 30 mins late which I am very understanding about however an acknowledgment for my wasted time that I taken out of my work day would have been appreciated, he then gave me inconsistent advice from when I had called the orthodontist to book the appointment, and made me feel like I couldn't ask questions when I didn't understand what he was saying as he told me to 'stop interrupting' him and 'can you let me speak now?' Also he was extremely rude and condescending calling me immature among other things. After he recommended invisilign, I asked him if it would cost approx $8,000 as my friend just got quoted that, in which he ranted 'You can pull any random number out of a hat if you like, my house could cost $XXX, and my neighbors house could cost $XXX, you can't compare etc ...' at this point I tuned out because I was so insulted that he had no consideration or empathy for my situation, and just responded 'I only asked because I thought you might know the approximate cost' on which he continued to scold me by saying 'Well a mature person would've asked it like this....'. As a client of the Angle House for 12 years now, I'm saddened to say that I will never be returning back, and I will stop referring my friends and family there. I have never been spoken to like how Dr Kataria spoke to me in my life, especially by a professional who's services I was trying to engage. Fortunately, the receptionists were absolutely lovely and have always been for the 12 years I was going there. I truly hope it was a once off scenario and I just got Dr Kataria on a bad day so no one feels how awful I felt after leaving Angle House Orthodontics again. read more
