I’m Lakisha Johnson the founder of Angels of Light Single Parent Support Group. This organization came about because I was a single parent of three children, and I struggled. However I never found an organization that supplied everything I needed as a struggling parent. They would offer one thing like food then you have to find another one for clothes, and another for diapers, but there was no emotional support, cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies, washing detergents. So I set out to create a one stop shop for parents, to provide physical help and mental support.

I started this organization, because I was a single parent of three children. My goal was to create an organization that promotes community, and providing parents and children with the physical resources they need, and the emotional support that is needed, when your a one parent household juggling everything by yourself.
