I had a former client placed with Angels on the Bay. I took care of this women who was very capable of walking w a walker and getting herself to the bathroom. She would watch her favorite news channel CNN all day and let me tell you she knew everything that went on. She was then placed with Angels on the Bay in Center. Moriches. They give you this loving and caring attitude which is not the case at all. You could not visit when you wanted only when they let us and for the first three weeks we where not aloud to even come or contact her. On my first visit I was appalled on the condition of my client and the place. My client just sat in a chair in a room with about 4 other patients in a dining room that did not accommodate wheelchairs or walkers. My client was very confused it took her awhile for her to realize who we where and she had only been there less than a month. This place is not accommodating or handicap accessible for these patients. The food is not accommodating you eat what they cook which is Jamaican. Within a short time they claim my client fell and was taken to the emergency room and later placed in a nursing home. They wanted to amputate her leg cause it is not healing. She is now to frail for anything. Angels still continued to charge her for her room and might I add more than anyone else. Because they asked to see bank accounts before taking her. Which is something I never heard of. So ask me if I would every place someone at Angels on the Bay, absolutely not. They are not an adequate facility and should not be operating as one. I had a friend looking for an assisted living place & decided on this one because it was small and he felt comfortable with the staff. Right after he moved in there were nothing but problems. He went in there being able to walk, talk & eat on his own but left without being able to do anything on his own. The owner is very disrespectful & not compassionate at all. All the residents looked as if they were drugged up on something. Its pretty sad you trust people to take care of your loved ones and as soon as you turn your back they treat them like dirt & this place does just that! Please find somewhere else that will treat your loved ones the way they deserve to be treated. read more

Angels by the Bay was an absolute answer to prayer. Prior to Angels by the Bay, my mom was in a traditional assisted living facility where she was 1 in 200. Other than meals in the dining room, she sat in her room and received little socialization or interaction. This had a negative impact on her well being. At Angels by the Bay she is literally part of a loving family. There is social interaction throughout the day and is on a healthy diet. I have seen great improvements in both her mental and physical health. I sleep well at night knowing my mom is in great hands. If you are looking for a place for a loved one who needs assisted living, I encourage you to call Angels by the Bay. read more

Unfortunately , we were misled when we came to this assisted living. We thought it was a caring place, but We now think The owner was interested in money more than taking care of the client we had there! Our loved one was charged much more per month than other clients! I found out after about a month, that the two aides assisting the owner with the clients, DO NOT speak ENGLISH!! I feel that Our loved one was not taken care of properly and fell and broke her leg ! She is a very elderly woman and her leg will never heal. I feel that The owner of this facility didn't care or take responsibility for her injury. It is unfortunate that it wasn't the loving family friendly facility I thought it would be. Angels by the Bay is not what they say they are in my opinion. My friend was placed there and in a matter of 2 months she went from being alert and mobile to becoming totally reliant on the owner and staff to walk. Her mental alertness also deteriorated during her short time there. I called to speak to my friend for the 4th of July and told she was napping. When I inquired about calling later when she is awake I was told that it's a family holiday and my friend was part of her family now and its not good to call. My visits were not pleasant. I was told I needed to give 24 hour notice to visit and the best to visit was between 11am and 1pm. I did not see staff interacting with the residence, 2 of th staff members who are directly responsible for residence DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH! The owner in my opinion acts concern about the residence but in reality is more concerned about their finances. My friend is now in a physical rehabilitation facility after breaking her leg at Angels by the Bay, and will never be able to walk again. I would not recommend this facility to anyone read more
