I don't even need to say what I want done, they just remember what I want from my haircut and I trust them entirely with a cut-throat razor. All their clients get their 5 star treatment - whether they are there for the first time or have been returning for years, whether they are hipsters with elaborate beards or more balding (like me), whether they are young or more mature. The downstairs option is more lively but can be a bit distracting as people pop in/out of the shop which is also downstairs. Usually, I opt for the 'full service'. This is a wet shave followed by a haircut. The shave is relaxing and performed with practiced expertise and is the real highlight. I think the idea is simply brilliant... especially since men are notorious for having a penchant for efficiency and an aversion for shopping... here they can hit multiple birds with one stone. The staff here is *lovely* - I've always had really good experiences at all of the Ted Baker stores, but I found the people here especially friendly and helpful... one gentleman even escorted me over to the barbershop and saw me to the right person when I inquired about samples to take home to my boyfriend of the store's new shaving and grooming lines. Seriously, they were really really fantastic - to the point that I'd make an effort to hit this particular Ted Baker shop if I were looking for something specific from the line. P.S. This location is located under a bridge in the Southwark area. My hotel was nearby, so it was a perfect fit. I walked in and there are 3-4 barber chairs with some very hip looking barbers. They were playing some house/EDM music & the wallpaper was faux brick. Definitely my kind of barber shop. I was able to walk in and get my haircut done in about 30 minutes, with 3 people ahead of me. Each of the people ahead of me had unique haircuts, so it was great to see that they were very accomodating. I had my beard trimmed as well. I can't recall the price off the top of my head, but with cut & shave/trim, it was roughly around 20 pounds? A little pricey, but the attention to detail is definitely nice. When I'm back in London, I will definitely come back!
