We made a few minor changes and provided a down payment to lock in a start date. The quote was very reasonable for this project. There was a lot of scraping as the home had not been painted in quite a few years. I handled repairs for any bad boards/trim so that was not part of our quote. They first power washed the home to clean it and remove loose paint. The guys worked hard and showed up on schedule. The weather this year has been miserable (hot, humid) but they worked long hours to complete the job on time - arrived early and stayed late. There were usually 2-3 people on site at any given time. The job was completed on time and as promised - we lost a few days due to bad weather but they were back on site as soon as everything dried out. We had some clean up to do after they left but that was not unexpected given the amount of scraping needed to prep the surface. I would certainly hire them again for future projects.

I called Josh and talked to him about my house that is huge and old; as I told him, I needed to repair the windows before the paint job could be completed. Josh said that he knew a carpenter who could do the windows and would paint the house after the repairs were done. As it turned out, I needed to get 27 windows fixed. So I had a bargain, a good carpenter who was ready to go up three stories to get my windows on the top floor and a painter who was going to paint my three-decker. Eventually, J&J came after all the repairs were completed and painted my house in 10 days. They were extremely efficient, professional, and pleasant to deal with. They answered my concerns by scraping, sanding, and caulking all surfaces. They used primer and good paint. Some of my neighbors came over to Josh to ask him whether he could paint their houses too. There was no drama, no mess. They told me in advance to inform other residents not to use the common area for a day or two. I definitely hope to hire them for inside jobs and recommend them for outside painting.

One of the bedrooms was filled with anchor and bad patch jobs from the previous owner. They look like brand new. Nick, the owner and Phil did a phenomenal job. He patched and sanded the walls. We were referred by our realtor because she had jobs done while the dad was the owner. He came out,…read moregave us a reasonable quote and was pretty responsive. He came out with several guys, was personable and his workers were very kind and seemed thorough. The job ended up taking more time than it seemed he thought and toward the end, they were visibly rushing to get out. I did a walk through and there were spots that i could tell needed touch up and they did it at the moment. When he was leaving he said to please let him know in the future if there were any issues with the paint, he didnt not "have a time limit on his work" he would always come back and fix anything. Well after we got furniture back in place and a few weeks went by I saw that in one of my spare rooms, there was another coat of paint that was done for the cut in but the walls definitley did not get another coat. You can see the previous color coming through. It is very visible. My husband reached out and never heard back from him. I reached out a couple weeks later and he replied and said that he would coordinate a time in the next week to come by and take a look. After a month i still had not heard back so I sent a follow up text asking if he was still able to come by and look at our room. His reply was because I was "so far away" he was trying to find a day that he could bring someone up here. He said he had not forgotten about us. That was Feb 9th and still no reply. I will not reach out again. It is hard to find good people to do work and I thought him and his company were reputable. I am very understanding and flexible but I do not appreciate people not keeping their word or honor their work. Hopefully others have better luck but we will never use him again or refer him. I have notified my realtor so she is aware before she recommends this company again.
