I think the general rule of thumb around these parts is that if you don't spend upwards of $150 for cut and color, you're doing it wrong. I don't know about any of you, but the way I find a new hair place (like anything else I need), if I see someone with great hair and a fabulous color job, I will ask them where they get their hair done. You'd be surprised at how many people don't bother to ask and wind up staying somewhere that they are not satisfied with. Of course, I was a little nervous, trying out a new place. Huntingdon Hair Studio is tiny; in fact, you could almost miss it if you don't know exactly where to go. I was immediately welcomed warmly and introduced to Peggy, who proceeded to give me one of the best color applications I have ever had. She also gave me an incredible cut, and all this for under $100 total. Highly recommended!

Instead of showing understanding, I was questioned on the phone in a way that felt unnecessary and unprofessional. A little more courtesy and flexibility would go along way. That said, the hair stylist, Chloe, completely turned the experience around. She was absolutely wonderful--patient, kind, and very engaging with my 5-year-old during her appointment. I come in about once a week for blow outs with Gina, Ashley or Dana, as I pretty much became addicted to blow outs last year due to the convenience and how epically nicer my hair turns out, and stays, when they blow dry and style it vs. my abilities to sleekly dry my medium-long, somewhat thick hair. It's so worth the ~"bang for the buck" to let them work their magic. I've also come for cuts and color, which have worked out beautifully, and for airbrush tanning, which is, well, also a little addictive! It's a family-owned salon that's been around for decades, with a really welcoming, cheerful vibe on the part of both the stylists and clientele ... Just a really comfortable, enjoyable place I can count on to consistently keep me in a good mood.

That was one of the reasons I didnt want to go. Cutting crew was recommended by one of my former co workers. So I decided to give it a try. I went in on a Saturday to fix it but they didn't have anybody available but they squeezed me in for Sunday which was prefect. I was so glad I didn't have to wait a week for an appointment. I usually spend an arm and a leg and a whole day to 2 days to get my hair done but I wasn't in there that long and the price was very resonable. They were all so friendly.

We'll they only knitted the braids in the front the rest if the braids were just hooked through the braid and not knotted. At first I wasn't going to say anything but as I started to lose more and more braids after less than a week of getting it done I had to say something. I also had gotten my lashes do r there before and they came out really fast. So she discounted me this time but still was not worth it. Hair and lashes a complete waste of money. So I call/text her what's happening and her response is maybe she can't accommodate me. There was no apology (and she knew she didn't knot the braids how could she not). So being lazy I got horrible service. Again no apology, No let me fix it, No I'll give refund your money, most of your money nothing. Instead of acknowledging she deflected and saying she can't accommodate me.. Well why would I ever come back after such a horrible experience. Thank God I wasn't going away. I would NEVER recommend this place for lashes EVER. The other stuff hey at your own risk!
