I…read morestopped to fill up my car, and an older Hispanic male attendant came out and asked if I needed help. I told him no, but instead of leaving, he stood directly behind me for the entire time I was pumping gas and did not walk away until I finished. I was getting a full tank, so this wasn't a quick interaction. At one point, he asked if I had finished working for the day. I said yes, and there was an awkward silence. I eventually asked him if he was working, and he told me he would be there until 6 p.m. I honestly only continued making conversation because the situation felt so uncomfortable and strange. Looking back, I wish I had been more direct and told him to give me some space. I shouldn't have felt like I needed to make conversation just because an employee was standing behind me while I was pumping gas. I will not be returning, especially after seeing other reviews mentioning concerns about theft. Overall, the experience made me extremely uncomfortable, and I would not recommend this location.

This Chevron, located right next to the Chase Bank in South Gate, is by far the smallest location I have ever been to. I feel, even with my little g ride, I will hit the car right next to me. For some.odd reason, this gas station has some of the higher prices in the city. I can drive no more than 2 miles down and find another Chevron with gas at least 20 cents cheaper. Believe me, that is quite the bargain nowadays in California. Just for the higher prices, I am not a fan of this location and don't think I'll ever pump here!!! Think I'll just pump gas at the next station I run into.....about 1-2 miles away!!!
