Lordship Recreation Ground

As part of a volunteering scheme organised by BTCV, I came across Lordship Recreation Ground - the…read moreRec, is a district park in Tottenham, in the Borough of Haringey, North London. It is the largest green space in Tottenham which takes in great views across Alexandra Palace. Interesting historic features, such as the Shell Theatre and the Model Traffic Area. It is also crossed by one of London's hidden rivers, the Moselle and has a large lake with many birds. BTCV carry out a lot of work to help maintain a conservation area within the park and help ensure the area is kept tidy, welcoming and accessible to enable people to enjoy the space on a regular basis. There's a playground for young children, a multi-use games area, an adventure play area and a state of the art skateboard/BMX area. There is also a large field for other games. There is a long bmx track which, along with the Model Traffic Area, makes the Rec a great place for cycling. Another beautiful, peaceful open space in London perfect for exploring!

The seats were pretty comfortable and the workers were extremely polite. But i did have a few complaints, the food was extremely expensive and wasnt very nice at that. there were a few disruptive and loud people who were not dealt with by the door guards which i thought was appauling. but overall everything was wuite good. The volume and screenings was absolutely perfect and the films they are presenting at the moment are also very entertaining.

Trawling the net I came across Lomax Parking. What a find that was. For £15 a day (cheaper than most airports) we booked a place. A bonus was that if parking for 3 days or more, there is a courtesy taxi to the station and pick up on return. PERFECT. Everything went so smoothly, thanks to those guys at Lomax.

Tottenham Hale Retail Park is one of the better places to shop in the Tottenham area of London, it…read moreis located around half an hour on foot, or just over a mile from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, hence this is somewhere you might want to go to kill some time before the game or perhaps after the game, while waiting for the queues to go down at Tottenham Hale Underground Station, which is across the way where there is also a large bus station. The retail park is quite big, but the selection of shops is not, it does feature brands such as Argos, Currys PC World, O2 and Next and fast food outlets such as Subway and KFC. The website is perhaps the most unprofessional I've seen for a shopping centre or retail park, it is not only basic but lacks information and is months out of date, featuring stores such as Maplin which closed months ago. There are a load of car parking spaces, however, it can get pretty busy at times, forcing you to park a long way away from the store, meaning it can be a good walk and the set-up of the retail park is quite separate, with a few stores then a road, then a few more, it just doesn't work out, it feels more dangerous and awkward than a nice place to shop. I'm not a fan of Tottenham Hale Retail Park's selection of stores, layout and other factors, so I'm struggling to even say this place is worth its' salt, especially with a lack of places to eat to the point where I'd even say it is barely a Retail Park. 1*
