I hired this lawyer for immigration court. After termination, he sent me an estimate stating that he did $8325 worth of work. There were no translations, no calendar events, and no individual hearings. Romanenko, without my consent, combined two contracts into one estimate to avoid returning money to the client. He is sending me to arbitration. Romanenko's quote: "For your removal case, not only the country conditions were prepared, but also written statements and motions were made." This for $7325! ($1000 is a separate contract for filing I-589). He does not comply with the terms of the contract, and without notifying the client, he deducts money. The contract states that the preparation of I-589 costs $1000, but in reality, it was more than $2000, and he did not inform me about this. In 2022, he prepared country conditions for a country at war (articles from the internet). The relevance of these articles after several years is questionable. In the estimate for the immigration case, there is a charge for processing letters regarding the WORK and SSN (these were paid separately). To date, of the $11,000 paid, nothing has been refunded. For a review on Google, he accused me of defamation and threatened to sue me for defamation. read more

Update: got my green card in my hand. Thinking back, all the immigration advice I got was again me getting this card. What a waste of time. I took the chance, made some mistake in filing form-- which was fine-- paid $1300 for my chance on I-485. Still made it. Is it complicated? No. I bet all the lawyers, doctors and engineers had much more complicated case back in school. His consultations were professional and realistic, he didn't give me false promises and did his job at the highest level. After I filled out all the forms for me and my child, the very next day Irina , who works for Andrei, e-mailed me the confirmation that all the documents had been sent. The whole process took us 15 months, because we were waiting for the interview to be scheduled. 2 weeks before the interview Andrei gave me the contact of the doctor who helped us with immigration medical exam at the very affordable price , twice cheaper than with some other doctors. The interview itself was easy going and successful. I had read so many terrible stories from some people, that's why I was pretty much nervous. I am picky about whom I engage for services, and tend to view most online reviews with a pinch of salt, after generally having found contradictions between the reviews and the service of most providers. There is usually some sort of hype/momentum/fluff that creates a gap between rhetoric and reality in those cases.
