UPDATE: See photo #4 where Andrea threatens me that I "better not write a bad review." Or what?
I have so many bad things to say about Andrea's Quality Cleaning I almost feel like just posting my phone number so I can rant and rave for an hour to you. But instead I will try and summarize:
1) Horrible communication. I repeatedly asked them to update me within a few days after my tenants left so that I know the condition of the house and they never did it even once.
2) They did a "deep clean" at my house after I left in July and prior to when the first tenants came in. They obviously did not do a good job because for the next two weeks they claimed that they found dog hair (clearly left over from my dog) and that my tenants had a dog in there. I know for CERTAIN that the tenants did not have a dog and it was my own leftover dog hair, but after arguing about this ridiculous issue for 2 weeks I finally just paid the extra $58 "pet fee" -- even though I did not owe it -- just to put it to rest. What did they do? On the 3rd week they "discovered" the dog crate in the basement (a Great Dane sized crate that has been there for 2 years hiding in plain sight!!!) and announced that as "Proof" that my tenants and I were lying and sneaking in dogs EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID THE PET FEE JUST TO SHUT HER UP ABOUT IT and then they freaking billed me again!
3) Did I say horrible communication? They also did not follow instructions and did not put out the gifts I had set aside for tenants. I asked for a copy of their cleaning instructions for my house FIVE different times so I could review it since they had already screwed up, and Andrea did not send it to me until almost the last week of summer.
4) On one of the weeks they were not done cleaning at 3pm (even though they have a 5 hour cleaning window) and when my tenants arrived they were told they had to leave and come back at 4:30. Unfortunately I did not learn this happened until my tenants told me a week later -- Andrea never bothered to tell me that they had left my tenants sitting outside for an hour and a half past check in time!!!!
5) THEY HAVE A POLICY TO STEAL. This just happened this morning and I am flabbergasted. This was the final cleaning of the summer and I already knew I would never, ever use this company again when my elderly mother went to my house and plugged in her large solar battery. When the cleaners arrived she left, but when she came back the battery was gone. To make a long story short the cleaners TOOK the battery. I spoke to the man who had been at my house and he told me that "Andrea's policy has always been that if they see something unusual in a house they should take it back to Andrea's office." How on earth can that possibly be a policy!? The policy should be to immediately call the owner of the house and ask, so if appropriate the owner can immediately call the tenant, that way the tenant can either come back and get it or it can be mailed to them or maybe it actually belongs to the owner (as in this case.) A portion of my text exchange with Andrea is below so that you can see I am not making it up -- she literally has a "policy" for her workers to take things out of homes without notifying the owners of the house.
BOTTOM LINE: If you want to hire cleaners who will never communicate except when they are accusing you and your tenants of lying, repeatedly overbill you even when you actually paid it just to put the issue to rest, and then take anything in the house they deem unusual ("it's not stealing, it's taking!) then I highly recommend Andreas Quality Cleaning Service.
If they were the only cleaners left on Cape Cod personally I would never rent my house again rather than deal with the stress of having this horrible company in my home. And I am NOT exaggerating. read more
