I stressed (repeatedly) how I wanted my new veneers to look like my current smile. I only wanted to make 2 tiny changes. They did not listen. They changed so much more than what I asked. Now stuck with a mouth that feels like I'm wearing capped teeth, slightly yellowish and made my gums very sensitive (even after all these months). Nothing to smile about :( I had veneers done before (@20 yrs ago) and Loved my smile. I expressed my nightmare to Dr Ding - teeth being shaved down to almost nothing. She assured she will only take off a little (similar to what I had done originally). Guess what? She shaved off sooo much, I could feel the teeth no longer touching. It wasn't until my 2nd appt, needed adjustment on temps, that I expressed how I upset I was that I felt she lied to me. She then told me teeth had decay and she had to shave off more than what she originally thought. Then why not say something???? Why not give your nervous patient who told you this was her nightmare a heads up???? Lost faith in her at that point and should have taken my business elsewhere as it got worse. New veneers didn't look like my original set at all. They explained why they made changes and to test out with temps. Fine, then I told them I really liked the color of temps (which is what I had prior) but they kept insisting how new ones looks better (went with a different color). Instead of trying to fix it, they kept telling me how they thought my teeth looked great and all my concerns were fixable if I wanted to change anything later. They had me sign a waiver. After a few weeks of wearing them and still wishing I had my original look, I went back to them and guess what? It's not fixable unless I pay to have it redone. Save your money and go anywhere else.

It's a very nice office with really clean and modern facilities. Dr. Sanchez is very caring and down to earth. what I really like about him is that he will not make things up to get you to do random fillings and other procedures. I've been to other dentists who would point out over 15 cavities that need "fillings" and try to get you in for these procedures ASAP. But when pointing them out to Dr. Sanchez he would just tell me that it's only a stain, etc and that we can keep an eye on it. In my experience, he seems well trained and knowledgeable, doesn't force things on you and leaves everything up to your decision without pressure. They also have another location in Brooklyn, around sunset which is also convenient if you live in Brooklyn. The only downside is that appointments can be harder to get because they're always busy. So last minute appointments are difficult but 1-2 weeks in advance is kind of okay, still not super flexible (but that's a good thing right? Haha)

Dr. Barillas suggested that I use Invisalign because it would be faster and just as effective. She neglected to mention that it is incredibly easy to get cavities while using Invisalign and she didn't discuss that she planned on shaving spaces between my teeth to create more room in my mouth until she was doing it. I didn't have time to consider what the ramifications of her shaving spaces between my teeth could be. Ultimately she created too much space and i now have gaps between my teeth. When I complained of the gaps she refused to fix them saying that my teeth were now straight and that was what I wanted, I stated that I didn't care about the straightness of my teeth (they were basically fine before all this) and that I had come because of my bite, which was also not fixed. She looked up her notes and found my statements to be correct after which she said nothing. I do not recommend this orthodontist. I'm going to have to get braces again to fix the problems she created.

Dr. Kats has quietly made sure that when I show the smile that my clients and loved ones enjoy, that it includes my teeth. I have represented Dentists with "celebrity practices" that have bells and whistles and social media and who are very good. I love those people, but this is my Dentist. She isn't trying to sell products and get you for your money in my experience. She is diligent, she is fair. I have seen some of the reviews here about having to wait in a waiting room (wow), scheduling errors in connection with third party apps (I schedule directly with the office and not only have I never had an issue, they call to confirm and they have called me to tell me to come in when a specialist I needed to see happened to be on another case. These are all recent experiences. The staff has always been nothing but nice to me. I have never been rushed out of the seat. Sometimes that means someone else has to wait. When I have waited, I remember that. Just saying. No one wants a Dentist who doesn't give you the relief you need because she or he has another appointment. Still great.

Dr. Kats did not even bother to floss our teeth nor ask if we were satisfied with our service.
