my husband treated me to a new hairstyle a xmas 2011. i work not far from andrea beers and thought that it looked like a professional salon. i had deceided to have my hair cut short. i have always been blonde and loved my colour although i wanted it highlighted instead of the block colour that was already on. i booked an appointment for the day i finished work as i was going on holiday the very next day. i was reall looking forward to a nice relaxing afternoon and that is the opposite of what i got. to start they were running 50 minutes late and when they did come and get me they never did a strand test or ask me if i had one done. they were aware i was a new client. the girl that did my colour was in the middle of another client when she did my consultation so it was extremly rushed. i was not shown any colour charts but i did say i wanted to stay blonde just with more highlighted tones. at one point i had two girls putting the highlights through as they were so far behind. eventually when they rinsed my hair through and i went to have it all cut i sat in front of the mirror and could not believe what i was seeing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i had gone from a lovely blonde to brown, i was completely mortified. the guy that cut my hair was so nice and could see how upset i was. they kept saying that they had taken it darker but it would lighten up. it did not take a genius to realise that it was no where near going to lighten up to what i had been expecting. i had my hait cut and was pleased with the result however i could not get passed the colour. evetually andrea beer came across as the guy how cut it could see i was near to tears. she said thet the highlights that has been put through were to fine and not enough of them. she put some more through and evetually they finished. by this time i had been in the salon for 5 hours and i just wanted to get out. i was charged for everything even a treatment at £8.00. i went on holiday the follwing day and had to find a salon in paignton which would rectifity my hair. the salon director in paignton rang andrea beer to explain how unhappy i was and was quite rudely spoken too. andrea rang me herself to apologise and offered to put it right and also offered a complemetry massage. personally i would never set foot in her salon again. read more

have been using Andrea Beers for many years, i have experience a number of treatments, from manicures, Nail extensions, eyebrow threading, hair colour, cut, blow-dry etc and this is only a very small fraction of the amazing treatments that are done there. During all my visits i have been thoroughly looked after, before each colour treatment i normally receive a text message or phone call reminding me to come in for my skin test (this is always checked by staff before any colour treatment is done ) staff very friendly and also eager to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. i would highly recommend anyone to this salon, prices range depending on the stylist that is chosen, but still affordable to any income, great offers are always available, which are also sent through as text messages so you never miss out on a great deal, and text reminders of appointments booked a day before which is a god send when you're a busy working mother with children as I am.
