It was so good I would've become a regular there but at the time couldn't stretch to the £13 the haircut cost. I also ruined her good work by shaving it all off on impulse about a month later. When I've walked past since and glanced in, the place often seems to be catering for older ladies getting their perms touched up, but don't let that put you off even if you're a dashing, going places young buck like me.

I've avoided colouring my hair because I've found that hair stylists treat you generically during the consultation. Kai Ko's was different. When I went for the test patch, my stylist took her time work out the exact shade I wanted and showed how it would look in my hair. Colouring is a lengthy process but you're made to feel welcome. I was asked numerous times if I needed another magazine or hot drink. When styling the hair, I was given a fabulously glamourous finish that suited my hair and face. Plus their latest addition, a nail bar, where you can get all the latest nail treatments and nail art plus normal manicures and painting. It's a classy establishment, so the prices aren't cheap if you want the top stylist, but you can save money by getting your hair done by their capable graduate stylist. Prices vary from £26.50 for a cut & style with a graduate, £32 with a senior stylist or £39.50 with the Style Director. They also specialise in colouring, perms, hair extensions and wedding packages. I heard a mention of a new massage bed on it's way which sounds good! Keep an eye on the website for updates on new treatments.
