After…read moresuffering in silence for several years I finally felt I had to write this review to hopefully help someone. I had an "en bloc" explant and mastopexy that Dr Chatson recommended and it was the completely wrong type of procedure to perform on me. I initially wanted to just exchange my implants and happened to mention I had been waiting to do that since I had developed other health issues, from food poisoning. Felt like I was recommended the wrong procedure for me as a patient not even looking at the individual. I was swayed into believing breast implant illness could be contributing to my IBS, and headaches by him and it was not that at all. I had food poisoning and likely peri/menopause which was causing all symptoms that I was having. Did he think or consider that? No!! I also had an MRI, no ruptures. So why "en bloc" removal recommended? My results were horrendous, I looked like I had a nipple sparing mastectomy with a crease across one entire breast that never resolved I was asked at my final follow up how much it bothered me, which I said A LOT, he said there was nothing he could do!! He was just interested in whether my symptoms resolved and of course they had not since it was never my implants!! Why would you aggressively remove implants in someone like this? With gastro problems and minor headaches? I was left with horrifically, long and unnecessary scars a crease fold across the whole breast and no breast tissue. This ordeal put me in deep depression, with shame and terrible anxiety for being sucked into this absurdity. I could not even catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror or my whole day would be ruined. I had night terrors about the surgery and an awful, painful recovery. Couldn't even have my children hug me due to ongoing nerve pain in chest area. I was given gabapentin by another doctor for the nerve pain. The care and concern was abominable. Felt like I was being experimented on. Please be careful in choosing this doctor for explant or for anything. This is a FOR PROFIT business and this doctor has gotten himself on an explant list as good at performing these procedures, this is false advertising, there are no experts in explants and it's just preying on women who are ill and vulnerable as if they are their saviors when he was initially brought BII up to me, like he was a believer in this I had never heard of it and is the one who caused me to have the idea in my head which pushed me to the horrible removal. It's all about the $$$$. He is not qualified to diagnose anyone with BII, he is a plastic surgeon. Go to more consults before removal, consult other expert physicians for symptoms, and please rethink using this doctor for anything after he's ruined at least 2 women's lives. When I woke up from surgery I realized he didn't even attempt to do the lift. I was shocked and so upset so he offered to take me into his very old office and do a lift in the office chair under local anesthesia a few months later . (The dirty old 1900's office). He removed as much as he could still leaving me with so much skin you could clearly see. After a week he removed those stitches clearly too early and I ended up having a huge open wound with smelly stuff coming out clearly an infection. After months of healing my results are terrible. I have awful scars from that open wound.. so much loose skin.. and all he is offering to do is have ME pay again for him to bring me to the operating room so he can do a full lift since he couldn't in office chair. He said he will give me his services free (clearly cause he knows he didn't do his job) but I have to pay for the room and anesthesia again. WHY WOULD I PAY AGAIN FOR A SURGERY AND A JOB HE DIDN'T PERFORM. He was so rude and disrespectful when I mentioned either getting my lift portion of payment back or having him re do it FOR FREE. . By the way he charged my insurance 35,000 dollars for explant and I paid over 8,000 out of pocket for the lift . You are talking 43,000 for a job he did not preform. Then they come out with we will get you an appt in our office down the street in 30 minutes. Then you drive down there and 2 mins before getting there you get a call saying can we move you out 2 hours? I said no thank you. I would never go back there and the strange thing is Mass General recommended them. I'll call Mass General to tell them how bad they are but then look at their reviews here on Yelp.

When I asked if she could check with Dr. Chin, she replied--in a tone that made me feel as if I should have known better--that he was with patients all day. I explained that I understood, but hoped she could ask him at some point when he wasn't actively with a patient. Despite this, she never followed up. I emailed the office today, following up on my call from Monday, explaining the terrible experience I had with the woman I spoke with and again asking that my message be passed along to Dr. Chin, as he deserves to know why a long-time patient is leaving. And once again--no response. At the very least, a response to my email should have been a basic professional courtesy, but I didn't receive any acknowledgment whatsoever. Do better, front office at Andover Eye. After reading other reviews of AEA, there seems to be a consistent theme of dissatisfaction with the front desk staff. It's surprising that nothing has been done to address it, and it makes me wonder whether the doctors are even receiving this feedback. I hope this message ultimately reaches Dr. Chin. He has always been excellent, but the lack of support and communication from the front desk ultimately led me to seek care with a new provider. The 2 staff members I met, Rachel and Rebecca, were the real deal. They know every offering inside and out and unlike other spas, they're not over selling and fake or like some other "in and out" assembly line cold feeling office. They were genuine and I feel like I can trust them and that they actually care about my progress. If you know laser hair removal. It does grow back if you don't maintain it or if your body has drastic changes. I hadn't maintained and gained a little weight. Rebecca took me right back to the laser room. The laser is BRAND NEW by the way. It was as expected but also very nice that she didn't have standard responses to how the procedure goes. Rebecca and Rachel really treat the individuals needs. Cost wise. Hands down on the lower end of price. I paid $125 for men's facial laser hair removal. Botox I think she said is $12 a unit. Or close to $200 for my forehead and between the brows(I haven't done it yet but I feel comfortable having this place be my first go at it) I would recommend 100% and will be back.

Friday morning I called tried to talk with the doctor and was told she was off that day. I finally got a callback from the office - not the doctor Tuesday afternoon and they said well just pick up the over-the-counter product. He saw that I was in pain and made room in his day to see me, gave me meds and set up an appt to have my tooth extracted. Believe it or not the extraction was actually PAINLESS as was my recovery and Dr. Berty called me the evening of my extraction and gave me his personal cell phone number in case I had any pain or complications.
