I have a 2017 Troy Bilt Bronco Riding Mower and in 8 years I have had zero issues with this mower. It had been a couple years since I had maintenance on it so I decided to use Andersons Sales and Service in Crestwood Ky. I had to call a several times to get an updates. During one of my calls it was recommended that I get a new belt which I approved and it took 3 weeks to get the mower back. The second time I used it to mow grass, the belt came off and I couldn't drive the mower. They came and got it again to look at the problem and I was told the pully assembly had broken. It took 5 more weeks as they waited for parts. When I finally got it back it did great on the front yard and side yard but when I got to the back yard it was a hatchet job. The deck had fallen on one side and literally tore up my back yard. I went to Andersons to ask them to pick up again and fix it at no charge since none of these problems existed before I took it in for routine maintenance. I am on a fixed income and was told I could not get any part of a refund and I would have to pay to fix it again. When I got home I decided to cancel the 3rd pickup as I did not want to put any more $$$ into it as it seemed issues were cascading and getting worse. I truly regret using Andersons because now I am going to sell my 2017 for basically parts or if someone is handy with fixing mowers. I now have to buy a new mower because I have no confidence in the work that was done. I will not use them again or recommend to others. read more

Today, I visited the Watterson Trail Anderson's store to get a part for my Bad Boy mower, which I bought from Anderson's several years ago. The parts department staff said they did not have the part in stock, but that it was available at their Crestwood store. They said they would send the Crestwood store my order, and that it would be ready for me when I came to Crestwood to pick it up. So I drove all the way out to Crestwood, but was met with blank stares from the parts department. They said they didn't know anything about my request, and after 15 minutes of fumbling around, said they did not have the part. The young woman at the desk said it was not her fault, since she had just come to work. No one apologized to me, or suggested a solution. I told the parts staff member my concern was not with her as an an individual, but with her company's abject failure to meet my needs as a customer. I told the parts staff, " never mind," came home, and ordered the part online for 1/3 the price they had quoted me. My message to Anderson's is this: If you can't do a better job at customer service than this, you don't deserve to survive as a business. read more

Still no response from complaints made after service of mowers. Was charged over $600 and only received one oil change. A new T. T. mower (under warranty) was inspected for oil consumption at 100 hrs. And another T. T. Was ask for price to adjust carb or price to replace. Service called & said it needed the tankflushed, new fuel line and filter ( that was the problem) I went there and replied " those were just done" and it wasn't the problem, it was the carb. They replaced anyway... didn't fix anything and couldn't provide said dirty filters & fuel line. Price gouging customers... !!!!!! Steer clear of andersons read more

absolutely the worst service department I've dealt with in over 25 years. Took a mower in for repairs. the mower was sold to me by Anderson. the mower had quit working. their solution was to replace the motor for $1200. the people working behind the counter act as if they are doing you a favor when they eventually go to help you. We purchased our Kubota Tractor at this location when it was Beard's Outdoor Power Equipment. We had a wonderful experience at that time. The change in name and ownership has not changed our experience this time around. We purchased a new 72" mowing deck for our tractor as our old one was in need of many major repairs. For a very reasonable price Anderson's came out, picked up our tractor, did the tune-up and servicing we requested and then installed the new mowing deck. A week later it was delivered back to us, ready to use for one last fall clean-up. Each step of the way we received courteous calls to let us know when they were on the way to pick up the tractor and again when they were going to deliver it back to us. I walked in, talk to sales ask for the best mower available in diesel. Bought a Kabota. Won't cut grass over 6 inches, won't cut up hills, won't cut wet grass. Express my displeasure, and was told I paid 14,000+ for the wrong mower. Can't get parts support, and when they sell you a part, it's often the wrong one even with something as simple as blades. These people truly don't give a flip about their customers in my experience. Very sorry I gave any money to people who care so little about doing business the right way. read more

My brother-in-law, who is not a lawn mower expert, took apart the carburetor and cleaned it and the mower works now! Took him 10-15 minutes. It is ridiculous that Anderson's staff who should be experts said I needed a new carburetor for $199 and charged $45 for a diagnostic fee for telling me that, which was incorrect. What a ripoff! Update: my brother-in-law, who is not a lawn mower expert, took apart the carburetor and cleaned it. It now works! It took him 10-15 minutes. Why couldn't Andersons' staff, who should be experts have done that, instead of not being, for $45! read more

We are very disappointed in our first experience with Anderson's Sales Crestwood and will not be returning. My husband's experience: I left our aging John Deere rider for repair. Requested service dept. call w/ estimate before making any repairs because we realized it may not be worth putting money into at this point. 2 1/2 weeks went by. No call. I followed up. Was told technician was looking at it now. They would call back w/ status. Another week goes by. No call. I follow up again. Was told repairs were made and that tractor is now going through "Q.C." (quality control). Assumed it must have been a simple fix since I never got a call with an estimate/approval for work. I asked how long "Q.C." takes. Was told "Q.C." can take up to a week. 10 minutes later, I get a call from a technician. He says they have had it repaired for a week...and he's been mowing in their field with it for that last WEEK as part of "Q.C.". Was told tractor was ready to go now and can be delivered today. I asked for cost. $435. I never would have had them perform the repairs had I known it would cost that much. And nor was I going to pay that since we had never received the requested estimate/preapproval. We proposed just leaving the tractor with them and they refused saying the value of the tractor wasn't worth the cost they put into it.....um....exactly - that's why I wanted an estimate and the opportunity to approve before work was done! I called and asked for a manager to call me. Manager called. He said they would take out all the parts they added and return tractor - I just pay pickup/deliver charge of $80 and diagnostics of $90. In summary, service was appalling, workers were rude, repair was done without estimate/preapproval as requested, work was expensive and 'solution' provided of just undoing everything they did and returning the tractor is about the worst resolution to a customer concern I've ever seen. It seems we are now in the market for a new lawn mower...but I can definitely tell you where we WON'T be getting it! read more

They have a well stocked parts department and if they don't have what you need they will order it. They sent me a new battery with no instructions and then $537.00 later after my lawnmower wouldn't even pull start and I had it picked up by a repair guy, they tell me I was supposed to fill the battery with liquid! Well too late now because I had a repair place replace it, and Anderson will not refund my money! Do yourself a favor. Buy your parts from a local shop so you have someone to yell at in person after they F#*k you!!! read more

Very professional, patient, informative and friendly to deal with. We purchased a Honda mower and STIHL trimmer, blower and edger. These products in and of themselves could be purchased at other stores but I choose to drive from Louisville to Crestwood for the service, attention and care by the professional staff at Beards. Our sales consultant Terry Coffin was excellent to deal with and we recommend him to all our friends, family and neighbors. We were referred to do business here by a friend after I vented my frustration to him about my last visit to one of the larger home care companies where I got terrible customer service. I was a bit disappointed yesterday. Took my cub cadet 1170 riding mower in for service. Nee upper and lower drive belts, re seal a front tire, sharpen blades and change oil... same service i had two years ago... cost two years ago was just over $125.00. Yesterday service guy says that the belt service alone will be nealy $250.00. Two hours labor to put on two belts... maybe for someone tgat has never done it. Been going to Beards for several years; feeling like they have forgotten the small neighborhood customers. Took to another cub dealer, got all the above mentioned services plus a free air filter for $185.00. Guess i found me a new dealer to go too. read more

Well I know the owner is waiting for my review. I have been a customer since beards and unfortunately today will be my last. It seems as if I'm not the only person around that has trouble with this place standing behind a warranty. I have bought 2 chainsaws 2 blowers a pole saw and commercial weed eater off these people. Chain saw blows up UNDER WARRANTY!!!! They took the chain saw apart told me they would not cover it and proceeded to hand my a box with my chainsaw in about 60 diff parts! And told me to have a good day. I never hear anything good about Anderson's. I shopped there because they carry Stihl equipment and are supposed to stand behind their warrant this place is a scam. Like I told the owner this chain saw will cost him way more then it will cost me . Best dude in there is Cissel and the older guy at the service desk. I recently purchased an expensive zero turn mower. When it came time for an oil change, the oil filter couldn't be removed due the factory's incorrect installation. I spoke with Anderson's about this, thinking they would be willing to cover the help needed under the warranty for the mower. However,they want to charge me a maintenance fee. I am very unhappy about this. I chose purchasing this item for customer service and I'm very disappointed in their response to helping me. read more

Had a great experience at Anderson's. Larry the Parts Guy was very helpful getting me the right parts for my Honda Tiller. Larry even explained that replacing the carb would be better than rebuilding the carb (totally agree). All parts in stock.
