A sample of the caked on dirt and moisture that was in the space between of of the sections of seats that come together.

Unfortunately, I choose this company to store our brand new 2024 Harrison Pontoon over this past winter because the company I purchased our boat from did not offer indoor storage. I was promised indoor storage and I was promised the boat cover, which I supplied, would be kept on the boat during the storage period which was about 6 months. However, I do not believe these promises were followed through on and the proof is in the pudding, see attached photos. My wife and I are extremely frustrated and disappointed due to the condition that our pontoon was in when it was recently returned to us...the interior was filthy and we were missing two poles that hold up our boats cover!!! Then to exacerbate the situation, we were met with disdain after calling Andersons to graciously share our concerns. We personally own a small business and we are aware that unexpected things can happen, so even in our frustration we were doing our best to handle the circumstances professionally. First, Dave tried telling us that we must have misplaced the missing poles -- No, Dave, we sent all three poles with the boat so the cover could be properly fastened while it was being stored "supposedly" indoors at your facility. Secondly, no matter how we presented our concerns about the condition of the interior Dave's basic responses were: "All the boats we store look like that after the winter", and "Well, you didn't pay for detailing so I can't help you". He implied we are stuck with how the interior of our boat looks not considering we detailed our boat before handing it over to Andersons for storage believing the cover would remain on our boat as an additional protection to having it stored indoors. To be fair, we expected some light dirt/dust and would have been happy to clean it up ourselves, but the dirt was caked on. It was even between the seats and the seat backs as well as in most of the crevices. There was standing water/moisture around the speakers and animal droppings and these are just some of the examples of what the interior looked like. Our boat is only a year old and it came home to us looking like it aged 10 years! Weird thing though, our boat cover looks brand new! It wasn't at all dirty like I expected it too look after covering the boat for 6 months. Hmmmmm????? Finally, after failing to get answers and help over the phone, I made a visit to Andersons. Surprisingly, Dave was willing to replace the two missing poles - but that was about it. Still he was unwilling to address the concerns about our boats interior and whether our boat was truly stored with its cover on indoors. We will NOT be returning to Andersons for boat storage services ever! We don't believe their promises were kept & when we tried addressing our concerns with Dave - he treated us terribly unkind and without an ounce of professionalism. Speaking over us via our telephone conversation, cutting us off, and even telling us we were wrong! Complete lack of customer care.

I recently bought my first boat from Anderson's Boat Sales and my experience was perfect. This is a family business and that's how I was treated. Danielle, Dennis, and Jeannette went out of their way to make sure every step went very well! I would definitely recommend Anderson's to anyone!

The issue with warranty service has been resolved. The service call took a LONG time to be completed though...

These guys totally ruined my pontoon it aged more then 10 years because of the way they stored it…read moreduring the winter I am hysterical on how my boat looks now Steve the manager at decks and docks service ruined mine and my family is Fourth of July weekend we were going to be on my pontoon for the holiday . All the interior and my pontoon is completely burned and ruined .. My pontoon is 2013 and it look like it was brand new before I brought it to decks and docks for service and storage . I called decks and docks right away when I discovered the damages on my boat and the owner called me and said he would come out to take a look at it. I have pictures and videos of my boat with my family on how nice my boat looked before they picked it up for storage and service at decks and docks. I paid Steve their service manager over $750 for the wrap and winter storage . The owner said he would come out to my house to look at it. Stay tuned until I see what the owner is going to say

She is a brilliant, intelligent, wonderful, honest, caring, and hardworking human being and helped us broker my dad's boat. My dad has quickly progressed Alzheimer's so it's been a heartbreaking time for our family. There were a lot of hurdles we needed to cross like a missing title, un-winterized parts, boat being stacked on a dolly instead of cement blocks, etc. and she patiently and seamlessly helped us problem-solve and navigate through each challenge. She knows boats inside and out, is very well-connected and sharp, and we wouldn't have made it through this process with her. Highly recommend!!!

Updated 12/9/2025 After changing the lower gear oil seals,…read morethey told me to bring the boat in the next spring so they could take it to a lake to test shifting from neutral to fwd and rev... Spring 2025 - My son and I figured out when Lakeside re-installed the lower unit, they did not line up the shaft that runs from the lower unit to the fwd/neutral/rev linkage. Wilson Marine took care of this for $350.00. There's no need to put the boat in the water or even put water paddle on the engine. If they installed it correctly to begin with, the shift ctrl would effortlessly slide from neutral to fwd and rev. Steer clear of this company! Original post taken down from Google and Yelp. Probably cause it was too long. Nutshell version: Lake side Marine is a rip off! In fall of 2024 I asked them to ONLY shrink wrap my boat. They took it upon themselves to replace the gear oil which they said had water in it. BS! When I replaced the gear oil a week earlier, the new oil didn't have water in it. They: changed the gear oil - not needed told me I needed new seals which I agreed to have them install. stabilized the gas - not needed. I always took care of all winterization processes except shrink wrap.

Jon was willing to take a look and do the work necessary to make me not entirely regret the decision of buying a boat. Over the phone and in person, Danielle is incredibly kind and helpful. Jon was extremely honest and straightforward with all the information he could give me about the boat. Even to the point of explaining how to do some of the more "simple" maintenance items myself since I'm used to wrenching on cars and can do some of the stuff that transfers over. He showed true integrity and honesty throughout the entire process.
