Initially, the technician assumed the shower was clogged, but later realized it was a deeper issue. He said he needed to remove the toilet to snake the sewer line, and claimed the problem was resolved. However, just 4-5 hours later, sewage began backing up into the shower, and both toilets stopped flushing entirely. I contacted him that evening, asking for urgent help--no response. I called and texted again the next morning, and only then did he reply to say he was on vacation. He offered no backup plan or referral, leaving me to find another plumber to fix the mess. To make matters worse, he charged me $480 for snaking the shower and toilet--an excessive price for about 1 hour's work, given the poor outcome and lack of follow-up. I spoke with 8 back flow companies, half of whom did not even want to come take a look at the back flow, but quoted over the phone approx $600 for a rebuild or $1200 for a new back flow - sight unseen. The first three back flow companies that did come out did not touch the back flow except to turn the water valve on & off - And then gave me the approx $600 - $1300. Frustrated, I finally spoke with Wilfredo at M & S. I knew from the moment we made the appointment, this was the company I would use. I spoke w/ Wilfredo, who was friendly & professional and assured me he would start at the basics of taking a look at the back flow before jumping to high dollar estimates. Wilfredo & Eric showed up on time & we're just as great in person. They suggested they retest the back flow before beginning any work and, lo & behold, it passed!! Wow, I'm so impressed with M & S's honesty and character!!! Nowadays, when you come across an exceptional company with exceptional employees, you put their info in your phone contacts and make sure you spread the word. I now have my yearly back flow test scheduled with M & S, and feel confident if/when I am told our back flow needs repairs, it will actually need repairing. Thanks again to Wilfredo & Eric. Long story short, his guys came back to replace the pipe under the house and I asked for a quote to proactively fix anything that might be wearing out in the near future. They only replaced a short section where it had collapsed and it took them less than an hour and only used a single piece of 2" pipe and some fittings. He tried to charge me for 3 hours of work and $100 in parts. Even said "he had his guys on GPS at my house for that time". I checked my camera and found that he was trying to pad an hour so he could charge me more. Even had his guys stand around for quite a while and then come to my door after waiting so they could try to say they worked that time. They didn't even gather information to quote additional work that I'd requested. I wrote him a reply email explaining that I had camera footage proving he was lying about the GPS timeframes. He never replied, even after I wrote a second time to confirm. Horrible customer service and he tried to rip me off. I would not recommend this company.
