She greeted me and was quite pleasant. I explained the last time I was there, the gal, who took my blood, left me sore and with bruises up and down my arm. So this lady was very careful with me. We talked about my daughter, who has no problems with needles. But I have had a phobia for years, which I had got past until my visit before this one. This lady apologized when I said, ouch. Then she proceeded to keep me calm. Within seconds, she was done and I was on my way. I am happy to say, I had no bruising. She is a real professional. Now, for Dr. Gonzalez-Campoy. Since that testing, I found that my Free T3 is high, which shows my dosage needs to be raised. I have not heard one word from him or his staff regarding this. Furthermore, I loved him when I started going to him two years ago. He made me feel special and that he cared for me, but the last visit, he was brusque and hardly spent any time with me. He seemed to be upset because I hadn't been in since 2019. With Covid, this didn't seem, to me, like a good idea in 2020. This and our last encounter, over the phone, has me searching for a different Endocrinologist. He refused to treat me, in person, because I won't take the shot and tried to push it on me. I tried explaining that my husband has had horrible arm, hand and wrist pain since two days, after getting the Pfizer, but he still insisted I should get it. When I stuck to my rights, and said, I'm not getting it, he reiterated he would not treat me, in person. Yet, he had me go in for blood work. I find this to be odd as I was in the same building as his office where I had to check in for the blood tests. Since he won't treat me, in person, only over the phone, I find I have no choice but to go somewhere else. This is difficult for me for two reasons. First, due to my insurance, I can't just go to any doctor I want to and they are hard to find. Second, I have been on natural NDT medicine since 2016, which, until recently, has met my needs and I've felt pretty normal. A lot of doctors won't prescribe the NDT for me, although expert professionals have deemed it as effective as Levothyroxine. So the five stars is for their wonderful Phlebotomist, but I give 2 stars to the Endocrinologist at MNCOME. That is because he still ordered my prescription to be refilled.

For approximately the same price as the high-end iPhone (including a case and apple care), you can get personalized concierge medicine. Dr. Burgeson has made a form of medical care that was previous exclusive to the rich -- i.e. concierge medicine -- and made it available for everyone. One of the many things I love about Dr. Burgeson is that I can visit with him via Skype, text message him when I have questions, or just send an email (I usually hear back within an hour or two). Finally, I love that he really makes the time for his patients. My first visit with him was 1.5 hours, and most of that visit was us just chatting about my health goals. And because of the way he runs his practice, when you visit him you're usually the only patient there. I wish I had found Dr. Burgeson earlier. His practice is the anthesis of everything wrong with our current medical system. Finally, I wanted to comment on the 1-start review left on this page. I'm pretty sure that review was intended for a Dr. in Memphis Tennessee and not Dr. Stephan Burgeson in St. Paul, Minnesota. Everything about that negative review is just plain wrong. Especially the part about Dr. Burgeson "only caring about the money." Indeed, if someone were only in it for them money there's no way they'd choose to independently growth this kind of business from scratch; it's much faster to grow a medicine practice within the existing system, with insurance payouts, etc. P.S. I should also mention that the Dr.'s assistant, Jenni, is also fantastic. They make a great team.

This isn't the type of doctor's office where you call, schedule an appointment and never know who you're going to see, or the type of office where you meet a new doctor and feel like you have to be a repertoire with him/her. He's the doctor. You build a relationship with him. Same day appointments? Yes! My last doc. office, if I wanted to see Doct. XYZ, count on an average 2 week wait. That sucks for a patient. Not here. 99.5% of the time if you need or want to get into the office on the same day you call - you can. Doc. Ilko is an great doctor and has delivered all my kid's and I appreciate him. In addition to being fully satisfied with the surgeries, I've found him to be a kind, caring, and patient doctor. As far as the way he treats staff, I recall one occasion when some unforeseen emergency had delayed the day's appointments at TCO and he stepped in to take care of removing my stitches so that his nurse (or PA, I forget) could go home. That stuck with me. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon.
