Unfortunately, my most recent experience left me deeply disappointed and concerned. At my last checkup, I was unexpectedly scheduled with a new provider at the practice. During that visit, I was told I had four cavities--which completely took me by surprise, as I've never had that many before. Trusting their judgment, I scheduled to have all four filled in the same day. From the moment the new doctor began working on my teeth, it was clear to me she lacked experience. She overfilled my teeth, which left me with an uneven bite and made eating extremely uncomfortable. I had to return the following week to have her fix them. That fix, unfortunately, led to another issue--she over-filed my teeth, and ever since, I've experienced noticeable tooth sensitivity and my newly filled teeth seem to be shorter than before. It has only been a year since I got them and already can tell they need to be replaced. It breaks my heart because I've always taken great care of my teeth, and now I genuinely feel like irreversible damage has been done. I strongly advise anyone visiting this office to request Dr. Sajid specifically and be cautious of being scheduled with the newer providers. My previous review focused on their skill and teamwork. This update will focus more on the team's progress. I've been going to Silicone Valley Dental for nearly ten years. Dr. Jog, Sarah and Nancy are old friends. The biggest difference between now and ten years ago is how the entire team has elevated their dentistry skills. When I started deep cleanings were reserved for a specialist. Crowns, root canals, implants were strictly reserved for their network of meticulously chosen specialists. I found this network to be easy to work with, friendly and supremely expert. I trust Silicon Valley Dental to make good choices But now it's ten years later and deep cleanings and crowns are in house. It's not just Dr. Jog who has elevated her skills, the entire team has elevated their skills. Part of this is the new technologies that make these procedures simpler and easier but clearly the staff needs advanced training to take on these responsibilities. So in addition to friendlliness, good judgement, careful selection of specialists, I must add that Silicon Valley invests in their staff and all benefit. I add social responsibility, support for staff and advancing women's careers to the list. Silicon Valley should be proud of themselves. They deserve it. I would be extremely remiss to forget their fees. They are amazingly reasonable. If you call around and ask about prices for crowns, it's phenomenally higher. I've moved out of the Bay Area but I still commute about 2.5 hours to get here. So far, I haven't found any dentist who comes close. Original review. I've been going to Silicon Valley Dental for about 7 or 8 years now. Dr. Jog is a caring and trustworthy dentist. Sara (the dental technician) is amazing. Nancy takes care of the billing and she is meticulous and sharp. One of the things I like that about Silicon Valley Dental is the teamwork, they talk to each other, they communicate small details that add to the big picture. When I first came to Silicon Valley Dental, I was quite ill and like about half a dozen other medical practitioners, Dr. Jog figured it out in about a heartbeat but the interesting thing was both Sarah and Nancy made separate observations and soon the entire office knew to look out for certain symptoms. You can see the teamwork in action again I had four cavities which my previous dentist had discovered. However, he passed away and now I have four big cavities. The entire team prepped and they filled and drilled all four cavities. I was shocked by how little time it took. I've also had implants, root canals, and crowns. For these, Dr. Jog referred me to specialists. I was impressed by her network of specialists, they were caring and meticulous in their work. I've also had deep cleanings. Deep cleanings are absolutely no fun at all thank goodness the technology has advanced, and the painkillers have improved radically. I can never recommend them, but they're a lot better than they used to be. I moved away about a year and a half ago. Really if I were more sensible, I suppose I would have found a dentist closer to home but Dr. Jog and her team are wonderful and I lack of motivation to do so. So yes I'm driving in an hour and a half to see Dr. Jog. They are that good.
