I always love the photos! We have had her do family photos, newborn photos, Christmas photos, and first year photos. More recently, her main focus has been boudoir photography. I finally pushed myself outside my comfort zone and had her do my photos as a gift for my husband for our fifth wedding anniversary. The whole experience was fantastic. Hair, make-up, access to her wardrobe, and the session itself. I felt so comfortable in the most uncomfortable situation with Amber. She is absolutely perfect for this type of photography. I had fully anticipated picking myself apart in the photos, not the photos themselves, I knew her photos would be beautiful, but me. However, when I saw them I didn't. She didn't edit me out, not my stretch marks, not my cellulite, not my scars. It was me and I thought - "wow, I look quite pretty." She is worth every penny and I couldn't be more grateful for her helping me get a glimpse into seeing myself how my husband does.

In my quest for a wedding photographer, I turned first to Yelp. (Of course!) But near the small…read moretown where we were getting married, there were very few to choose from, except for photographers who specialize in cheesy senior photos. So I expanded the search to Spokane, and came across LaDuke Photography. I was impressed with what I saw: a) competitive prices and package options b) wedding experience, with a portfolio showing... c) unique shots I contacted Lacey and was relieved that she still had our wedding date available. I also learned that she now lives in Eugene, OR, but considers herself a 'traveling wedding photographer,' so she'll get to your wedding, no matter where it is! (With some extra cost, of course) A few months before the wedding, we set up a skype date to meet her face-to-face and talk details, like whether to take photos before or after the ceremony, and how many hours we'd need them. We also met Nate, Lacey's business partner, who would also be photographing the wedding. They really made a point of getting to know us and our vision for our photographs. We exchanged Pinterest contact information, because how else can you plan a wedding these days? When the big day rolled around, Lacey and Nate came to the rehearsal the day before so that they could see the Church and the reception venue and get ideas. We chatted with them for a little while do go over the schedule for the day, and it really eased my mind about how they whole thing would work out. On the day of, they showed up right on time to photograph us getting dressed. We took wedding party photos before the ceremony, which in my book is a good idea because you don't have to stress about getting everything done afterwards, and it cuts down on the anxiety of the ceremony. (Plus, it's just an old wives tale that it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding...right??) I don't want to go on and on about all the details, but suffice it to say that Lacey and Nate were very on top of things. They got photos of all of the people, events, and details that we asked for, and added their own creative ideas for shots and poses. I was most worried about the family shots, since my family is huge and disorganized, but it was actually a breeze. They didn't spend hours getting everyone lined up perfectly, so everyone looks relaxed and casual, which is just how we are in real life. Bonus points for giving the bride a snack in the middle of the after-ceremony shots. They must have known not to let Alli D get hangry! The turn-around was very fast in getting our photos back. Lacey was posting 'teasers' on her facebook page within days, and all of the photos were up on her website right after we got back from the honeymoon. We're so happy with how they turned out, and now just have to decide how we want to best spend our photo credit on her website. Check them out if you want! http://gallery.ladukephoto.com/strick

Everyone suspects a teenage girl may be hard to please when it comes to senior pictures.... because…read moreof this we were delighted to see our teenage girl so happy with her Senior Pictures from Lacey LaDuke. Lacey is the real deal photographer - we reviewed her online portfolio and liked her shooting style, then hoped for the best. From our very first contact, Lacey communicated very professionally in advance of the shoot - sharing some location ideas and also trying to get a feel for our teen daughter - she seemed genuinely interested in making sure our daughter was really happy. The photo shoot was a great experience - Lacey helped our nervous daughter relax, helped coach her on different looks and frankly, made it a fun experience. As a parent, I liked Lacey's flexibility and photography expertise - while also having very reasonable prices. I was pleasantly surprised that the online portfolio wasn't just her very best photos - they are very typical of what you'll get - many great shots, not just a few - she has a gift for pulling good images out of a person who may be nervous. We particularly liked her artful eye for color, angles etc - not just a boring image - but a nice eye for creating something a little more memorable. Would we recommend her? Absolutely yes - a great experience, great prices, fabulous photos - plus a really fun experience. Will we user her again - definitely. check 'em out: http://gallery.ladukephoto.com/p882495466

Having a day-of wedding coordinator was a MUST for us - and Robyn and Jessica from Red Letter were…read moreexactly who we were looking for. I chose to plan all aspects of our wedding -- from the center pieces to the weekend schedule. That being said, we wanted our guests to enjoy our wedding, not feel obligated to help reset the room for our reception or run our errands. I met with Robyn 3 months before our wedding and instantly felt comfortable with her. She listened, took notes and fully understood how I (we) envisioned our wedding going. Because we live in Seattle and were getting married at Schweitzer Mountain (in North Idaho), we were limited to the number of visits we could make to our venue, even though we had been there several times. Robyn went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. Visiting the venue with us for a walk through, then her own visit a week before our wedding to make sure things were coming together. She kept tabs on our vendors. She played the bad guy if someone wasn't doing what they needed to be doing. And she did it with such professionalism - honestly I wish I could have paid her in single dollar bills and with each one included a reason both her and Jessica are amazing. I'm not even to day of wedding execution! Have you ever been to a wedding where the bride and her bridesmaids are frantically trying to set tables or troubleshoot last minute issues? I woke up on the day of my wedding, cried happy tears and spent the morning giggling and drinking champagne with my favorite people. Jessica picked up some decor from our room and checked on me. Robyn stopped by to tell me everything was going as planned. There was not one moment that I doubted them. Our wedding went off without a hitch - or if there was one, I certainly wasn't aware of it. They set our reception room so beautifully, it was as if I did it myself. For someone as detail-oriented as myself, I never though I would relinquish control, and yet Team Red Letter put me at ease.
