Go ANYWHERE else except here. I have been going here for a while but no more. On virtually every visit multiple pumps are out of service or the pump will not process a card or a screen is cracked making the pump unusable. Today there were 3 pumps that were cordoned off, 1 with a broken screen and then the one I used which would not get past the card processing stage. When I went inside and asked why the pump wasn't working the cashier said "it just broke right now...today...." Imagine the timing that it just broke right now. Then when I said that every time I go there so many of their pumps weren't working she said "well don't come here no more..." So, syntax aside....I will be using the other stations nearby. The other reviews left on here all seem be to pointing to consistently bad service. read more

I highly recommend this nice gas station. It is conveniently located and comfortable for all of your fueling needs. Inside of the store, particularly the coffee area, was very clean. I really liked the cinnamon-flavored coffee. I appreciated having hot coffee available as the sun was setting. read more

If I could give zero stars I would, I go here all the time and experienced a dilemma with my card just to find out the owner isn't even there or doesn't even want her employees calling her. I'm sorry but what kind of owner isn't present or even available to call when your store or its customers have an issue. I understand if it's for private reasons but that's why you have a work number. It is absolutely bizarre for your own employees to say there not allowed to call you, it's bizarre for them to think just because your some "rich" lady you shouldn't have to care. You're an owner. I stopped going to ampm once they took away all my scratches after they updated their app. So I don't know how to use the app anymore, it's been a while. I'm visiting family in Barstow for Thanksgiving 2022 and I decide I'll go to ampm, fill up my tank for the drive home and get some coffees. I had to pay for the cups at the front, which is fine, but I was searching the app and couldn't figure out how to add the 3 coffees I ordered to get my 4th one free. Long story short, I figured it out after I paid, so I go back to the front and ask the older gentleman up there and with annoyance in his voice and a huff, he just said, 'well I already did it', I just said 'it's fine' and walked away. People need to understand that not everyone is an expert and he saw my phone on the counter with the app open, maybe he could've offered help when I ordered coffee, like hey do you have the app, the 4th is free. Anyways. I didn't get my 3 coffees added, so I won't have a 4th cup free. The 4th cup free might have motivated me to go back to ampm, but I think I'll stick to 7-11, friendly people and always willing to help. read more

This is right after the Barstow stop where everyone else goes. Do yourself a favor and fill up here. Cheaper than any of the ones over there and less crowded. It's tucked away so it's easy to Pass. The other ones were so crowded and the arco station was shut down with no gas. Wrong day for that to happen! It's a little secluded with one other gas station up the street. read more

Male cashier said lottery was closed for today which isn't true and he was just to lazy to ring me up for a lottery ticket. That's the only reason I stopped in. Never coming to this gas station ever again. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Go to any other gas station but here, there is another both north and south not far at all. Had to wait for a pump, so I ran in to fill up my water bottle. They have no water option on their soft drink machine, so I grabbed ice and went back out. One of the workers followed me out yelling "you have to pay for that!" I said I only grabbed ice, he said "you have to pay for ice" I said I was looking for water, but it wasn't available, and he said I know, you have to pay for bottled water. I said "cool, I'll be right in." And we left. It's California and 100 degrees out - I am not paying for a cup of ice. You're lucky you got my gas money. Never again. read more

Pulled up at this gas station and every pump has a car in front of it but almost no one is actually pumping gas. The machine rejects three different credit cards before I notice a sign that says the machine accepts debit only. It's 2021 and every single person who wants to pay at the pump has to use the most fraud-prone form of payment there is, while every single person who wants to pay with credit has to go inside and wait in line during the pandemic. I went in and the line was fifteen people deep. No thanks. Never going to ARCO or AMPM again. read more

I stop in here frequently when I'm passing-through Barstow on a riding trip. This station features a very large parking lot which makes meeting-up with other members of my riding group easy, even if some of us are towing trailers. Convenience store is very-well stocked with all manner of munchies and staff all seem to be friendly. Only deducting one star due to the fact that the charge for plastic bags here is .20 cents instead of .10 like everyplace else. read more

Amazing Awesome Professional Caring This describes the Team that works there. Today I needed four dozen doughnuts for my kids. Dunkin doughnuts donated several dozen for my kids -- last night. I promised all my students doughnuts & was still a little short from the gracious donation. I called & they put together the doughnuts I needed. DO NOT USE DEBIT CARD AT THIS STATION! They are making fraudulent charges! They charge additional 35 cent charge to use debit, when you approve, CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! We went inside for 2 coffees and in addition to the 35 cent charge we were charged another gasoline fuel of $96.32!! When we called manager we were told this ALWAYS HAPPENS with the 35 cent charge! They held our money 24 hours before returned. When we complained to ARCO we were told they don't own the station. It's like all Arco AM/PM's in CA, NV and AZ, all now owned by Tesoro. We complained to Tesoro. They say we never used our card there at all! LOL But, they attached a voided transaction for the two coffee's! WTF?? The charge was debited to our card for the two coffee's. AVOID THIS STATION! Poor customer service at counter was the least of the problems. Management is aware they do this and are trying to cover it up! If you had this happen to you, make complaint to Attorney General of CA. We did! Maybe they can stop these crooks! read more

Charge 35 cents per gallon to use debit, does not take credit. Bathrooms are filthy, cashier rude.

Cheap gas. Bathrooms extremely clean. Large variety of food. Employees very friendly.

Cheapest price in entire desert area. Nice and clean restroom and always fresh coffee and good customer service and friendly staff . Open parking . Biggest Arco in California. So far best travel centre I ever visited . read more
