Boris came ready to fix my washer! Great service, very helpful. Gave me estimate for service.

If I could give 10 stars I would. This was my experience with AMPM Appliance Services, all today: 1 Sent a Yelp email out requesting a quote for a washing machine diagnostic and potential subsequent repairs around 8AM. A response came from Jason within the hour, indicating that a diagnostic is $65 which would be applied to any subsequent repair costs. 2 I called the business around 9AM and was told a technician Gary would be available between 10AM-12PM. 3 Gary arrived a little after 11AM and was great with the diagnostic. I was nosy and he was explaining along the way about the control panel. In the end it turned out that the repair costs would be around the price within a few hundred dollars of a new machine, as the panels were shorting out. All in all really great experience particularly due to Gary's candor, knowledge sharing and honesty. We have a GE machine and he advised to only get LG, top-loader preferred with as few features as possible. He also gave a vendor recommendation for discount washing machines. I very much appreciate his time although I probably slowed him down with my questions. I would highly recommend this business and especially Gary - very trustworthy and honest establishment and representation. Thank you! Editing not a week later! The dishwasher had flooded onto the floor and was not starting a new cycle last night. Kevin came in and was able to diagnose the problem immediately which was of my own making when I installed the garbage disposal a few days ago and didn't knock out the blocker in the disposal where the dishwasher drain attaches (HUMILIATING) thus causing the flooding. Not only did Kevin successfully drain the dishwasher pan without being able to fully pull the unit out (the floors were installed after the dishwasher was placed and the back feet didn't have clearance) BUT he also reinstalled the garbage disposal! I cannot say enough about this business and I am going to recommend them to everyone with appliance issues. This is my 2nd engagement with the company and both technicians have gone above and beyond to explain the problem and solution, are fast, polite, and extremely knowledgeable. Thank you Kevin! And thank you Jason for being so fast to respond and send someone out. Your time and efforts are very very much appreciated. read more

My dishwasher stopped working. Contacted Am Pm Appliances and they responded within half an hour. Made an appointment for the following morning. Sergei was very prompt. Came at the beginning of the 3 hour window. He took the dishwasher apart to see what was going on. Sergei was very professional and let me know that it would be a better move to purchase a new dishwasher rather than trying to repair the one existing machine. I appreciate that Sergei was so honest and professional. He gave me very good tips on what to look for for my next model. He also informed me on how to keep the new machine in tip top shape. Thank you Sergei!! read more

Immediate Response, Fixed the Same Afternoon After waiting for weeks for another appliance repair place to schedule a visit to repair our squeaky dryer, I gave up and posted the project on Yelp. Jason, from AMPM, replied immediately, and we scheduled a visit for later in the afternoon. I asked for a call 30 minutes before the tech was to arrive, and got one, exactly on time, from Boris, who turned out to be a delightful conversationalist as well as a skilled repair technician. We have an unusual stacked laundry installation, so I had prepared for the visit by locating the parts and a cart ahead of time, which Boris appreciated. I also helped by running to shut off circuit breakers, dispose of clumps of lint, etc. An hour later, our dryer was back reassembled and working, squeak-free, and empty of the lint that had caused the problem. Very nice! The visit was a little pricier than quoted by the other place, but since they never followed up, and Boris and AMPM handled the work instantly, it was worth it. read more

Jason was very prompt in responding to my quote and setting up service. No hidden fees. Will showed up promptly with a same day appointment, diagnosed the issue and was able to fix what he initially thought was the problem. Through no fault of him, just a very very aged machine (we are talking 25-30 years old) my machine tub was cracked. Jason offered his suggestions and only charged the diagnostic fee just like he promised. I absolutely recommend this business and will be keeping them in my go-to list as well as recommending to friends. Will, you're amazing and super friendly and easy to do business with. read more

I called AMPM at 11:30 and got a prompt response from Jason. They had a technician come by 1:00, had the part and finished by 2:00. Serg was polite, knowledgeable and gave us tips on how to maintain our LG front load washer. read more

They have earned a return customer! Great service. Gary is a stand up guy, we are appreciative and grateful. We needed repair for our washer. I used the Yelp feature to help me request quotes from local repair places. AMPM Appliance responded right away. I was given two hour windows to choose from. My service window was confirmed immediately. They called when they were 40 minutes away and arrived within the service window time. Gary was absolutely awesome. Gary was honest and up front with us. He did a thorough job by checking every part of the washer. Unfortunately, he had bad news for us that our transmission and suspension were both done for. He recommended we buy a new washer instead of getting our current one repaired. This is the type of honesty we need more of in the world. Instead of trying to squeeze money out of us Gary was kind enough to give his honest opinion and we are grateful for this service. AMPM Appliance Services will now be our go-to for appliance services. Highly recommend this company. We appreciate Gary so much. read more

My washer broke down on a Saturday I contacted the AMPM APPLIANCE and they got back to me eventhough it was the weekend. They called before showing up and I met Boris the technician who was very respectful and knowledgeable. He fixed my washer promptly and now I'm washing again. Thank you! read more

I'm so thankful to have found AMPM! I did 3 loads laundry Saturday, but the 4th just before 5 pm, my washer overloaded flooding my garage. I asked for quotes on Yelp and was so surprised to receive a response since the business day was over. AMPM was the only company that said they could come the next day which was a Sunday! The technician Boris came on time and was fantastic! He has experience with older washer like mine and quickly identified the issues. He even identified an issue that the last service person missed. Last year I had the spring on my top loader replaced, but the tech missed that my agitator was broken- which is probably what causes my spring to break. A Boris is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He did such a great job I don't think I'll need a repair any time soon, but if I do I'm only calling AMPM and requesting Boris! read more

If Marvel ever needs a new superhero team, I'm nominating AMPM Appliances. I contacted them because they had basically perfect reviews and more fans than a stadium concert -- and wow, they lived up to every word. Jason, the General Manager (aka the Nick Fury of appliance repair), got back to me in under 20 minutes. I was calling for my 94-year-old mom, whose beloved but extremely rare Fisher & Paykel washing machine suddenly decided to take an unscheduled waterlogged nap. Most companies would have stared at this washer like it was a UFO. AMPM? They said, "We can be there today... or tomorrow... or literally whenever Mom wants." Already heroic. Then the technician shows up -- calm, confident, clearly trained by the appliance equivalent of Hogwarts -- and fixes the impossible machine in under 24 hours. No drama, no guessing, no "we'll order the part and call you in eight years." Mom immediately started rewashing the clothes that had been trapped in the washer chaos. She's 94 and was smiling like someone gave her backstage Beyoncé tickets. Look -- if your appliances are misbehaving, save yourself the stress and call AMPM. Fast, funny, kind, competent, family-owned, and genuinely heroic. They didn't just fix a washer. They saved the day. Would give them 10 stars if Yelp didn't limit me. read more
