Immediate Response, Fixed the Same Afternoon After waiting for weeks for another appliance repair place to schedule a visit to repair our squeaky dryer, I gave up and posted the project on Yelp. Jason, from AMPM, replied immediately, and we scheduled a visit for later in the afternoon. I asked for a call 30 minutes before the tech was to arrive, and got one, exactly on time, from Boris, who turned out to be a delightful conversationalist as well as a skilled repair technician. We have an unusual stacked laundry installation, so I had prepared for the visit by locating the parts and a cart ahead of time, which Boris appreciated. I also helped by running to shut off circuit breakers, dispose of clumps of lint, etc. An hour later, our dryer was back reassembled and working, squeak-free, and empty of the lint that had caused the problem. Very nice! The visit was a little pricier than quoted by the other place, but since they never followed up, and Boris and AMPM handled the work instantly, it was worth it. read more

I'm so thankful to have found AMPM! I did 3 loads laundry Saturday, but the 4th just before 5 pm, my washer overloaded flooding my garage. I asked for quotes on Yelp and was so surprised to receive a response since the business day was over. AMPM was the only company that said they could come the next day which was a Sunday! The technician Boris came on time and was fantastic! He has experience with older washer like mine and quickly identified the issues. He even identified an issue that the last service person missed. Last year I had the spring on my top loader replaced, but the tech missed that my agitator was broken- which is probably what causes my spring to break. Before pulling the trigger, I decided to have a pro inspect it first.I found AMPM through Yelp, called, and they got back to me right away -- super professional from the first contact and had the best rate of anyone I called. The owner, Jason, sent Pedro, a tech with 30 years of experience specifically on Sub-Zero units. He showed up exactly on time, ready to work. Pedro was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk me through everything. He even explained (in plain English) how a compressor rebuild works and how they do rebuild at my home when the time comes.I told him I needed something that would easily last another 15+ years and, since I'm not an appliance expert, I wanted him to look for red flags a regular buyer would miss -- cracks, hidden damage, etc. He did a thorough inspection: checked the coils, tested the compressor, looked for condensation issues, signs of past leaks, you name it. His verdict? The fridge was in excellent condition. That gave me total confidence to buy it. Honestly, without Pedro and AMPM I would have been rolling the dice. Had an issue with my dishwasher stopping mid-cycle and found AMPM on Yelp. Messaged them for a quote/availability in the evening and the next morning Kevin, their tech, was at our home diagnosing the issue. He did a very thorough inspection before starting to disassemble the dishwasher (which he ended up not even having to do) and found that it was actually more than likely our outlet that was loose causing the machine to stop. He suggested we get an extension cord to run to a different outlet to test the machine and that proved that the machine was indeed fine so there was no need to do any service of the dishwasher. Honest and reliable, great availability to come same/next day, very responsive via Yelp messaging, and took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand it.
