MOIO is a touch of sophistication (new boutique) in the historic Cedar Fairmount district in…read moreCleveland Heights. I walked into this space, gasped, and said to the owner - "This is the best thing to ever happen to this space!" This retail space had so many stories and looks from being a boutique to being a photo studio to this new refined era. It feels like whispering a secret sharing this review because the boutique just opened and is intentionally not advertised. Even people in the neighborhood haven't all found it but you just did. Ambiance: High ceilings, chic exposed concrete look, neutral drapes, expert staging, and ritzy feel. You instantly feel transported to SoHo (maybe Rick Owens concrete minimalism space). Locally I can only compare it to the stark elegance of RH (Restoration Hardware). It's really a marriage of a boutique and gallery. There is a lounge area with couches and chairs for you to unwind while making purchasing decisions. The fitting room has a huge stunning mirror to evaluate your fit. It's simply gorgeous. Merchandise: As you enter the boutique you'll find men's merchandise to your left and women's merchandise to your right. Women's sizes go up to L. Some of the brands that can be found in the store are Silk laundry, Mijeong park Marle, and St Agni. The clothing is well curated with pleasant feeling fabrics - silks and soft fabrics. The owner suggested considering unisex look and checking out the men's collection. You can certainly find a dress for your night out in Cedar Fairmount. Clothing is around $100-200 at least based on the tags I've looked at. There are a few jewelry pieces and accessories in store. Home decor is on the shelf in the center of the store and few items are strategically placed around the store. You'll find ceramics, the thinned glass, vases, candles, and more. Most articles are worthy of display in your home. Art coffee books are also scattered around the space like Auguste Rodin's art. Most artifacts have little stories about their exclusivity and European origin. You'll find plenty of distinct pieces to spoil yourself or other people in your life. They are pricey but every object seems well curated, high quality, and hard to find elsewhere in the wild. Service: The owner is very friendly and introduces you to the space. Beverages are offered to customers. The guests look like they're from the pages of Vogue. I definitely should have dressed up to shop here. Neighborhood: The neighborhood where the boutique is located is known for its dining and new-ish wine shop. All are within walking distance in the same commercial district. I loved the lavish feel of this boutique. I love well executed interior design, which is clearly seen here. Personally, I wear plus size so no clothing was for me. If it was, I'd be all over neutral silky dresses and blouses. I hope to visit this boutique and shop here for home decor in the future.

I always peeked in while going to Rising Star Coffee next door, and the store wasn't open that early (check hours before visiting). Better late than never, right?! The store is gorgeous right now - lights, nostalgic paper stars, skis, ice skates, and pristine white outfits in its windows. Treasure awaits you beyond the gorgeous winter display. AMBIANCE/INVENTORY: The store reminds me of visiting an estate sale, peeking at various corners for treasure. The store is well staged with pockets of goods. There is ample space to wander around. In terms of inventory, it is in pristine condition. Almost to the extent that you feel like you're buying something new. Forget funky smells or imperfections, you won't find them here. Prices vary but remain very reasonable. Items are quite unique - brooches, clothes, trays for entertaining, clutches, home decor, furs, art, and so much more. I really wanted to buy everything but limited myself to book ends. These book ends resembled actual books and were priced $12. That's considerably cheaper than book ends anywhere around the area at thrift stores. SERVICE: The owner of the shop is very friendly and welcoming. I loved that she chatted with me about other vintage stores even recommending a few. True community spirit. It made me love the store even more. I would recommend this store to anyone who lives in Cleveland Heights and beyond. Neighbors in Cleveland Heights groups continuously recommend this store, and I will too now. I would especially consider visiting if you plan to entertain, need a new teapot, tray, or other unique housewares. I plan to visit very soon!

Inside is incredible, two storefronts and a full basement full of an eclectic assortment all scattered about with only a vague kind of organization. Among the broad categories of items were artwork, books, clothing, cowboy boots, decor and just about anything else you could imagine. I was looking for wooden masks since I have a large collection; of course I really didn't want to find anything to buy, I was just shopping. Scattered about the store were quite a few different masks and other carvings. I finally noticed two masks hanging on the wall behind the main counter, a very detailed Balinese mask and a smaller Japanese Tengu Mask. The owner seemed knowledgeable about the masks, which was welcome and a bit surprising. The Tengu Mask just talked to me and the price was affordable, plus it was small enough that I didn't have to do a major redistribution of my collection. After a short negotiation we came to a reasonable price and the Tengu mask is now hanging in my home. A great cool spot to just browse around and see what hits your interest. There are surprises scattered all over, prices seemed reasonable. The owners were friendly and helpful. Stop in and see what happens.

You can find this one-of-a-kind, two story store in the Coventry neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. It well reflects the neighborhood's eclectic culture. This store is a great destination for your esoteric needs, global unique gifts, and your obscure hobbies. INVENTORY: The store offers fair and direct trade merchandise. I have a suspicion that a lot of City Buddha merchandise is now sold here due to seeing similar finds. City Buddha used to be a shop on the same street with treasures directly from Thailand. Both a treasure. As far as countries of origin, there are many at this location. There are plenty inspirations from the East - Buddha statues, Indian gods, and incense. There is African merchandise - Ghanaian necklaces, waist beads, and masks. There are Russian-inspired hats and Mexican blankets. Then there's everything in between. As far as variety, you can find clothing, shoes (Birkenstock), decor, walking sticks, jewelry, accessories, statues, instruments like djembe, and more. If yoga or meditation are your passions, you'll find so much here - crystals, incense, sage, tapestries, blankets, statues for your altar, and more. Pricing greatly varies. Some of the items are higher prices like $70 straw purses. Other merchandise is deeply discounted like alpaca gloves or seasonal items like waist beads. I was very happy to find $5 waist beads and added a necklace for $12 something. They were fair trade items from Ghana. Great value! SERVICE: The owner is very nice and helpful. He makes everyone feel seen and welcome. I always feel comfortable asking questions. You can also get a free quartz crystal with your purchase which is very nice. He truly seems like someone who finds deep meaning in what he does. PARKING: Limited street parking is available in the area. There is a covered parking garage across the street with free parking. I have been a customer of Passport to Peru for years. I most love that I can walk in and find everything needed for my obscure hobbies. Djembe for community drum circle in Coventry Peace Park? Check! Found it here! Waist beads for my book club? Check! Found them here! If you're looking for an interesting global experience or also chasing obscure hobbies, stop in. While you're at it, check out the rest of Coventry. There are plenty of Asian restaurants and thrift/vintage shopping! Make a day of it!

It's every woodland fairy's dream, there are so many gorgeous nature inspired accessories, home goods, purses, and toys. The store is a perfect destination for high-quality one-of-a-kind gifts where you can buy a unique item, a card, some chocolate, quirky socks, and even fabric flowers. It's one of those spots that feels like a hidden gem. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with that cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay and look around longer than you planned. I only planned to stop in for a few minutes but wandered forever. The shop is small but packed with personality. There were shelves full of quirky, thoughtful, and often hilarious gifts--everything from locally made candles and clever greeting cards to colorful mugs and Cleveland-themed merch. You can find beauty products, stickers, pins, home goods, puzzles, knit socks, like everything. It felt like every corner had something fun to discover, and I ended up grabbing a cute velvet makeup bag (great value, only $18). One of the coolest parts is that it also doubles as a shipping center in case you'll want to send something to your loved one. I chatted with the owner while checking out, and found her to be very friendly and genuine. It had that community feel--like a place people come to not just shop, but connect. Overall, Olie's is the kind of neighborhood shop I wish every community had: fun, useful, local, and full of heart. I'll definitely be back for greeting cards and gifts.
