They do wonderful drywall, concrete, electric, and plumbing work for a fair price, they keep on schedule, and they don't make excuses. He and his crews pulled all the necessary permits and worked very hard to ensure that we were happy with their work. It's a little difficult to find a good remodeling contractor north of the river but we found an excellent one when we hired Artisan Construction. We called Artisan Construction as they now have a home repair specialist. Artisan sent out a man who not only completed the project perfectly (after a few trips to the local hardware store), but was very detailed and cared about what the end result looked like. He wanted to paint the trim he had replaced, but my husband did not know where to find the paint swatch for the new paint. (The window guys- At Windura) not only took some paint off the house while replacing windows, but they never offered to correct it afterwards! ) I will call Artisan for our next house repair project as I know they will take care of whatever we have for them with the same expertise as they did replacing our shingles.

The total cost for labor ended up coming in at $704 (including the $75 service charge) plus materials and disposal. When asked for a breakdown of the labor costs, Mr. Handyman only stated that four hours, fifteen minutes were spent on the project with no additional information. Very little of that time was spent at our home on the project (I would approximate an hour total) and I find it unsettling that Mr. Handyman can charge me for multiple hours of work that I did not see without a more thorough accounting of how that time was spent. Kynard was kind and did a good job, but due to billing practices and lack of proof of work, I will not be using Mr. Handyman again.

Frank is very personable, explained all areas of interest which would raise flags, which items should be given immediate attention and others which were normal settling such as vertical/horizontal cracking.
