Beautiful hotel located in the heart of Sydney's CBD a few blocks from The Rocks on a small side street is the Amora Hotel. A five-star-rated hotel complete with doorman, concierge and reception, marble floors, comfortable sitting area and bar. There is an indoor swimming pool with hot tub located on the third floor, a restaurant on the second floor, and reception rooms in the first. I arrived here with my husband around 10 am. For $55, we were able to check-in early and go to our corner room on the executive level, 34. Lovely city views, including from the bathroom- fitted with large bathtub. There is an option to lower a white screen in the bathroom and bedroom, with thick curtain in bedroom. No light or sound issues. Terry cloth robes and slippers provided. One towel per person in the bathroom. Would have liked one more without special request. No bubble bath- so if you do stay here, bring or buy some! Simple amenities including shampoo, conditioner, lotion, two small bath soaps. Nothing impressive in selection. There is a mini bar filled to the brim, so no room for take away containers. Only complimentary beverages- tap water, tea and instant coffee. Ended up staying here two nights due to flight cancellation. Tea hadn't been restocked from previous night. The manager, Jasmine, was very helpful and professional. There is a bit of inconsistency amongst front desk staff members, who could significantly benefit from her guidance. For example, when I advised a staff member of the smell of smoke on the 34th floor, she debated with me. Amora is a nice hotel in great location. Good value for the price with a few things it could improve upon.

Why do you go to a hotel? To munch on kettle chips while sitting in a hot bath reading the New Yorker at 3 in the morning with the murmur of the TV in the background. That is why you go to a hotel. So, by those standards, is the Amora Hotel Jamison a good one? Oh yes. We found this hotel on lastminute.com and in good faith went for the 'secret hotel deal'. I was hoping for The Hilton, or The Intercontinental maybe, and it turned out to be some hotel I'd never heard of. Certainly not a great way to start your 4pm happy hour. The hotel is in the middle of the city (150 meters from McDonalds and all of that jazz) which, if you've got your head blinkers on, tells you your car is inexpensively looked after (in the city!) in their hotel parking lot for the next 24 hours. First star. You walk in - after enduring a slightly scary ride on the small elevator leading you up from the carpark - and, well, while the Four Seasons hotel chain will never be bumped off the real estate block for this one, it ain't half bad. In fact, it's great if you like the feel of no-funny-business hotels. There's the standard concierge and the standard eating and drink precinct and the standard 6-8 elevators all capable of taking you to your floor. The room is still standard yet again but nonetheless always rises to the occasion so you never forget you're not at home. You get white throwaway slippers! And you get to sleep on a bed that is so comfy! And you have a little refrigerator that stocks devil food! And you get a secretary (or at least front desk)! And you get an open shower! One side note: if you get my room (sorry, that's all the detail I can give you at this point) don't open the blinds. You're going to look straight into a horribly boring building.

Fantastic rooms, location, and cheerful staff. It's just a few blocks from the Circular Quay and the fabulous shopping areas. We were there at Christmas and had a wonderful time. Didn't try their restaurants due to the bad reviews I read, but it was convenient if you can afford it. Quite expensive but you get what you pay for. All in all I'm very pleased to recommend this hotel :)

Centrally located in the Central Business District just steps away from the Wynyard station. My 19th story corner room had obstructed views of the Sydney Harbour, but lacked a view of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. The staff were attentive and friendly. The room la led adequate lighting, made more puzzling by a funky central led controlled lighting system. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant costs AUS $37, though they offer a concession at AUS $20 if you request a breakfast ticket at the reception by 23:00. (You're better off heading down the street to the food court at Wynyard Station.) All in all, a pleasant albeit expensive place to stay. With the cost if you want to be a few minutes' walk from Sydney Opera House, The Rocks and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Came here for our honeymoon and they upgraded us to the Executive Suite! Hotel was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. Loved the amenities and the spa. You have to get a massage! It was also very close to the Circular Quay. Very convenient location.

This hotel is simply perfect…read more Location:: Perfect! The hotel is easy to get to from the airport using public transportation. Just buy an Opal card and take the train to Central Station. Ask someone to point you in the direction of the light rail. Take the light rail to the Convention Center stop. Once there walk into the adjacent parking garage. Take the elevator to the fourth floor as if you're going to Novotel. Walk through the parking garage until you hit Murray St. and the hotel will be across the street from you. After you've checked in you can go back through the fourth floor of the parking garage to the walking bridge that will take you to the harbour and shops. You can walk all over town from this central location... across the Pyrmont Bridge, over to Chinatown, a relatively short walk to Circular Quay... it's really a great location. Swag and free stuff: Amazing! When you book on their website you get free happy hour at their bar, everything in the mini bar is free, free breakfast, free loot bag of snacks, free tote bag to swing around town or load up a few extra gifts for home. Lots of goodies! Attention to detail: Never better! From the spare toilet paper that reads "who gives a crap" to the frame hanging in the lobby for people to take selfies with, this place is fun and interesting. I found myself wanting to explore the hotel as much as I wanted to explore Sydney. Food: Nice spread! They had a really nice continental breakfast spread in the morning... lots of fruits, breads and pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, a variety of juices, and a coffee machine. I think there would be something there for everyone but if that didn't suit your fancy you could also pay for other breakfast options from the kitchen or coffee bar. Literally the only downside I came across was that the walls were thin so I could hear a lot of noises from the hallway and laundry room. So pack some ear plugs!

This is a very good, but not great property…read more Location - ideal. Steps from Central Quay, tons of restaurants around, right in the middle of the CBD. Rooms - so/so. VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY- NOT THE FOUR SEASON STANDARD…read more This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've experienced, especially for a brand like Four Seasons that is supposed to represent luxury and impeccable service. We were suspicious upon first arrival when reception appeared overwhelmed and not able or willing to accommodate our requests. I must give a shout out to Lorenzo who did meet our expectations when we were able to enlist his assistance. The hotel felt understaffed, which affected every aspect of the stay. The accommodations were underwhelming, with rooms that were small , particularly for room class designations ,and far below expectations for price point. Food and beverage service was particularly poor. Simple details that should be effortless at this level--like providing decent coffee in the lobby--were completely botched: no cream and poorly brewed coffee. The maitre d for breakfast service was particularly rude and appeared bothered. Wait staff appeared confused and not understanding what we needed. We felt like an inconvenience, perhaps because we did not order the self serve buffet and required a simple breakfast? Overall, this hotel failed to deliver on the most basic elements of hospitality, let alone luxury. The Four Seasons name sets a high bar and while I had high expectations, this property fell short in multiple areas. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as significant improvements are needed to meet brand standards.

I arrived at 8am, and they didn't have any rooms available for early check-in. However, they had an early arrival lounge on the 6th floor which has showers for you to freshen up, and which I truly appreciated. I've stayed at other hotels where they gave me access to the hotel gym to shower, but this early access lounge is a full bathroom attached to a small private room for you to unpack and reorganize if needed without being in the general lounge area. Other amenities include free treats in the lobby sometime (they served ice cream once while staying there), fruit water by the check in counter with individual Mentos, and you can borrow an umbrella for free. The room was clean but nothing spectacular, which is fine with me. Housekeeping occurs daily. Overall an excellent stay if you want to be nearby Circular Quay.

It's located in the Rock neighborhood so lots of restaurants to choose from. It's also only a 10 min walk to George street which is the one of the main shopping and walking streets in Sydney. My only negative feedback is that the hotel seems a bit dated to me and the furniture, bathroom, and carpets need an upgrade / remodel.
